And there are three main complains no matter how the schedule is.
If the schedule has an FBS Oregon on it people complain because of the butt kicking and injury posiblities.
If its all FCS then people complain about the choice of teams
If there is a NIAI or Div 2 team then all hell breaks loose.
I for one want the Grizzlies in the playoffs every year and a FBS ass kicking or Div 2 win hurts way too much
This schedule though maybe not the most glitzy schedule it makes for a great chance for the Griz to be in the playoffs. So I say Keep playing a FCS only schedule EVERY FRICKIN YEAR

Playoffs in 2019? Your schedule looks to be too much for that.

So you judge playoff potential by the schedule, and not the quality of the team. Apparently never played the game.

Uh... ya, because those two go hand in hand silly. So the quality of your team is relative to all the teams you play throughout the season. In your case, that means you will probably play at least five teams that are better than you. So assuming things even out in terms of maybe winning one or two you shouldn't - and losing one or two you shouldn't, you'll end up right around 7-5? Yes it could end up better, or worse, you just have to play the season.
Every year a bunch of egrizzers get their panties in a bunch about my predictions for overall season records for Cats and griz and I'm almost always right within one game either way.

So if you say 7-5 that gives you a cushion of 8-4 to 6-6 You are really going out on a limb big fella.

SHow me anybody that can predict a team's exact record every year. I just look at the facts and put my best estimate out there and I'm usually right on or miss by one game. Beats the FUHK out of the idiots that predict 1o-2, 11-1 with your schedule.

Show me anyone who can predict a team record, by looking at who they play but ignoring the quality of their team.
Do you think you can predict profitability of a company by looking at only revenues and ignoring expenses, or vice versa?

For your first line, no. Impossible. That's why I look at both. Quality of the team and quality of who they play.
2nd line, no. I look at both.

Not sure where you've been, but it's about OOC scheduling for which there is control. It's 3 or 4 games a year. I don't think anyone misunderstands the unbalanced conference schedule one gets in a 13 team conference.tourist said:This thread still has a heartbeat.![]()
What is the argument? The BSC puts out the schedule and our Griz does its part by playing the games, right? Whether a relatively easy schedule, like last year, or a tough schedule like this year, our Griz still have to do their part. If they play like they did last year, they will get their ass handed to them damn fast. Just fact. A second year under Hauck, I would expect a great deal of improvement by them. Can't have any Portland State fiasco's. I think they played down to the competition last year. They will, or should, play up to the level provided this year. A 8-4 record should be the baseline for this team. How much better, or worse  , depends on them. :thumb:

Then why did you say this, above? You said nothing about the quality of the team. You said only the schedule.
"Playoffs in 2019? Your schedule looks to be too much for that."
