getgrizzy said:i never said i was at any practices or even implied as much. this was in speltz's story today:havgrizfan said:Pony and Player are right, because getgrizzy is extremely off base, and the proof is, you claim to see what the Griz are doing at practice. WRONG. Practices are closed and I know for a fact staff has been instructed not to discuss said practices. So no, you are not seeing what the Griz are running at practice. But you can read reports at GoGriz.com and in the Missoulian, and what I read is, the Griz are throwing quite a bit in practice. JJ threw two TD bombs yesterday and Shay had another, Ellis Henderson caught two of em, and the speed of the new Washington receiver, along with Henderson has been mentioned more than once. Am I saying this is the most talented Griz team ever? Nope. Am I predicting a national title or even a deep playoff run? Nope. But I know for a fact the Griz, and the players Getgrizzy mentioned above are a hell of alot better than he's saying, and I also know he hasn't seen a damn thing at practice. Unless of course, Getgrizzy is actually Bill Speltz. If he's not, then nope, he hasn't seen what the Griz are doing at practice.
Canada is excited to put his new physique to the test in Montana’s new pro-set offense.
“It’s a running scheme,” explained the California product, who is also a highly dependable receiver out of the backfield. “It’s on the shoulders of the running backs so I feel me and (backup running back) Tra (Van) are going to have outstanding years.
“We have a new fullback who is going to help us out,” he added, referring to Boise State transfer Jamal Wilson. “I think it’s beautiful. As a running back you can’t ask for more.”
thanks for backing me up on this bill. we are going to a run-based offense. that's the strength of our team. not passing. our qb doesn't have a strong or overly accurate arm and our wrs are green and not that fast. even if they were fast j.j. can't consistently get it to them deep. the furthest i've seen j.j. throw the ball is 50 yards and he put everything he had into it. his completion pct. was below 60% in 2011.
JJ will be lighting up defenses this season, and you can take that to the bank. :thumb:
