I'll take that.
I had wondered if we were going to offer this kid or not. I saw him on the transfer portal tracker last night. Spent 3 years at Temple before transferring CSU last year. Started this year for the terrible rams and went 229-380 for 2,958 yards 15 TD's and 10 INT's. Had 131 rushing attempts for 439 yards. Not the most impressive numbers through the air (the 10 picks are not great, threw 2 picks in each of his last 4 games) but he's better than what we got currently. I'd still rather have Cooper and Sears over this guy though.go96griz said:New QB Offer - Todd Centeio Grad Transfer from Colorado State:

Linemen at the University of Texas are poised to start making $50,000 per year via NIL benefits through a booster group called The Pancake Factory. Basically, they're getting a salary from rich Texas football fans, and it's under the guise of the name, image, likeness rule that allows athletes to monetize themselves and actually get paid for the revenue they bring to their schools (albeit not from the NCAA or the schools themselves).
The NIL arms race as already begun. Before that though... the Montana schools couldn't even compete with the cost of attendance additional money like other FCS schools.

The anticipated additional cost for NDSU will be up to $3,400 per full scholarship, the athletic department said in its announcement. This initiative will be funded exclusively through private donations. The athletics department has secured lead gifts from several donors that will provide a matching funds program for the first three years of implementation.
At one point I believe we offered free hotdogs.

This. There may more walkons that depart by kickoff next year, which is pretty standard for an off season. But it’s encouraging that the current roster is committed.

You are correct, RG. We always lose both walk-ons and sometimes players on scholarship in winter lift training. This is basically hell on earth at 5:00am and Hauck has garbage cans set up everywhere for kids throwing up. Does anyone know if students can still sign up for this and get a college credit or two? I’ll never forget that former Army Ranger who was at Montana during Coach Hauck’s first term as GRIZ coach. He was in the ROTC program at Montana so he could get a degree and was commissioned an officer. He quit on the 3rd day of Hauck’s winter training. My son says Hauck loves to tell that story to the team just before winter training kicks off.
