Transfer Bobcat Cornerback Dismissed from Team Yesterday

Don't know what he did, but it really doesn't matter. He broke team rules and one thing I like about Vigen is, he upholds his rules and enforces them. Discipline is something missing too much in society today. Good on him!
This a masterful troll job, Reinell???

So, you are saying that Choate doesn't know his own team that well or that Vigen ignored him and brought in the abuser anyway. Got it. ;)
No, what I am saying is that what was happening with this abuse was not known outside of the player and his wife. Not unusual in abuse situations.

My mistake. You are saying that Choate and Vigen couldn't know because they are such poor judges of character that they could not see red flags from a kid who beats his girlfriend once a month for years, and actively recruited that player. I now understand your point better.

I think you don't know that and have no way of proving it, so expounding like this about it on this forum is a really weird look, and makes you once again look like you're doing whatever you can to absolve anyone in this situation you like of any culpability when you honestly don't need to.

You are really stretching. Jeff Choate in NO WAY would let this player transfer to another school, especially MSU, if he was aware of this player's abuse of his girlfriend.
So your now saying a coach can veto a player going into the portal? Really?

"The 6-foot, 182-pound Parker has two seasons of college football eligibility remaining, according to his transfer portal entrance announcement last month. MSU was one of multiple FCS programs to extend offers to him" 406MTSPORTS

The two players did not have any record of domestic abuse problems before they came in. One of the coaches had an alcohol problem before coming in. He had been sober for a good period of time I believe before coming to MSU. I never heard of any domestic abuse problems before with the other coach. His alcohol problem surfaced after coming to MSU.
There you have it straight from the 🐎 🐴 horse's mouth: Coaching the Shi__y Kitties 😸 drove him to drink !!!

No, I meant if Choate knew about the abuse before entering the portal that he would have been dismissed. If he had heard about it during the transfer process he would have notified the coach of the team that he was going too.

Can't believe youre still defending this. Poor choice of character, is what it is. But its not just this incident. Same thing happened 6 months to a year ago. And all of the coaches issues. Its cumulative. Your excuse / reasoning would be valid if this was the only incident.

I know if Choach knew about it, he would have flown around the world backward to reverse time so he could stop it before it happened.

We get it. Jeff Choate has no idea what terrible kids can be on his team and doesn't know what is going on in their personal lives. He is completely ignorant of any and all wrongdoing, even if it is happening right under his nose. Got it.

Yes you are right Elrod. Jeff Choate is really a bad coach and not in control of his team. It his totally his fault for not having a surveillance system in place to monitor the personal lives of each of the 85 players on his roster. Also, he is negligent for not having listening devices in the locker room. If he did he would have picked up on Parker coming to practice every day and bragging about how he is slapping around his girlfriend. Or as you point out, he really didn't want to know as he doesn't care at all about his players. You nailed it buddy!

You were the one that said he had no idea what was going on with Parker. I was agreeing with you. 🤷‍♂️

You cannot possibly be part of a fanbase that has been screaming for over a decade about the Grizzly coaches not cracking down on behavior issues in the aughts but then say the opposite when the coin is flipped to the other side.

No, no, of course not. You’re just rationalizing it. Or providing context. Or just defending the program. Or maybe poo-pooing it.
"-I am not excusing what had occured, and to be honest, I abhor what has occured, especially with the coaching staff getting DUIS..and keeping their jobs until the end of the season"

If you are going to quote me, please do not take me out of context.

Given its the HC and assist coaches' friggin jobs to know what's going on in their players lives, this is ice you are pushing is so thin a skeeter couldn't skate on it.
