Transfer Bobcat Cornerback Dismissed from Team Yesterday

Given its the HC and assist coaches' friggin jobs to know what's going on in their players lives, this is ice you are pushing is so thin a skeeter couldn't skate on it.
Exactly. And when she is being physically abused once a month and there were verbal blow ups "too numerous to count," their neighbors absolutely knew. Other players girlfriends knew. BigSky's claim that nobody knows when abuse is happening is often erroneous, in my experience. If Choate didn't know, that is on him. But, seeing as the kid was pushed off the team, I have a feeling he did know.

Elrod, you seem to have a lot more knowledge of this case as you state all these facts. It appears you have first hand knowledge.

So, you say the abuse happened once a month. I was not aware it was just once a month. Was there a schedule you saw? How do you know the neighbors absolutely knew? How did you know other players girlfriends knew? Where did it mention in the article that Choate pushed him out? Where did I say nobody knows when abuse is happening? I remember saying in a lot of cases nobody knows as it is not talked about. Family and friends don’t find out about it until it becomes extreme or it is too late. I think if you do some research on abuse, you will see that.

In any event, since you have all these facts, I will no longer comment. Again, you have nailed it. Case closed! 🙄

It said the abuse happened once a month in the article you shared. "There have been 20 to 30 physical incidents and too many verbally abusive incidents to count during the 3.5-year." Just under once a month on the high end on average. Unless you think he was packing all the beatings into a shorter time at Nevada, and they weren't evenly spread, which would be worse for your point.

Neighbors have ears. It has been explained to you that girlfriends talk. All these guys and their significant others interact constantly during the season and school year.

I am assuming Choate pushed him out, but I have conceded that maybe you are right and he just isn't on top of what is going on with the guys in his locker room. Maybe that is the case, but as I said to you, that would ALSO be a negative on Choate. As I pointed out, you and other Bobcat fans have spent over a decade railing against Bobby and other Griz coaches, saying they should have known. Part of what I am doing is pointing out the vast hypocrisy in your position.

As for firsthand knowledge, you are the only one here who claimed to have that and be so close to Choate and put him on such a pedestal. Why don't you shoot him a text about it and report back?

You said more than once, including in the post above, that nobody knows until the relationship is over or it is too late, now you are asking where you said that? Lol.

I have done plenty of research on abuse. I also watched my mom experience it with her second husband. Thanks for your insight, but I disagree with you that nobody knows. Most people look the other way and deny the evidence of their eyes and their ears, but thankfully that is changing in society.

From the later article: “Parker's incident happened July 27 at an apartment in Bozeman after Parker's partner learned that he had been texting other women, according to the Bozeman Police report. After the partner attempted to contact those women, Parker allegedly grabbed her wrists to prevent her from leaving the apartment, ripped her watch off her wrist and slapped her forearm with the watch strap, causing a welt, per the report. He also slapped his partner twice on the cheek, she told the arresting police officer, who reported he didn't see any injuries on Parker.

There have been 20 to 30 physical incidents and too many verbally abusive incidents to count during the 3.5-year relationship between Parker and his partner, the woman said via the report. The officer booked Parker at the Gallatin County Detention Center on July 27 and issued a 72-hour no-contact order.”

"-I am not excusing what had occured, and to be honest, I abhor what has occured, especially with the coaching staff getting DUIS..and keeping their jobs until the end of the season"

If you are going to quote me, please do not take me out of context.
I'm astounded by all these bubs who suddenly "abhor" the lack of action by MsDUi regarding their crime ridden coaching staff, now that they're gone (not because of their crimes, of course, but rather because it was proven they all sucked). Yet not one of them posted anything then, and certainly none of them bothered to call waded to explain how "abhorrent" the handling was.

Too bad. Perhaps she still might have a job if they had, and she actually listened rather than be WAAC Waded.

And to think ‘zero sum’ Choate gives 2 shits about msu or the lackey Sixx.

The carnival has moved the tents to Reno.

I am not making excuses, I provided the article to Elrod at his request and gave my opinion on his earlier. comment on Choate.

As far as the coaches are concerned I personally was not happy with the way the situation was handled and did express that to the school. I thought they should have been suspended indefinitely until the court decided. I don't know if the decisions on the coaches were Vigen's or not. I suspect this was handled at a higher level. As for the two abuse incidents, they were completely separate incidents and Vigen dismissed them from the team right away. I don't think any coach on any team that heard talk in the locker room that a certain player was abusing women would let it go on and not address it with that player. It is my opinion in both cases that the coaching staff had no idea about what was going on prior to it happening. As far as vetting these players prior, there was no record of any prior history and even if you check social media, I don't think a player is going to put comments about abusing his girlfriend. Just my opinion.
This right here is the problem with your coach. Even IF he was directed to retain them - he is most definitely empowered to set their duties. He could have simply told them to stay home. He could have restricted their duties in a meaningful way. He ALLOWED them to coach through the season.

His priorities are disordered - his character is flawed. You and your fellow boosters were complicit in that whole affair. Don't give us the - well I didn't like it and I said so at the time crap.

I happen to disagree with you. In my long life I have read articles and know of experiences where abuse happens and nobody knew until it became extreme or too late. That includes family and good friends. Like I said previously, I believe any coach at any college or university, if they knew a player or even heard that a player was abusing a women, that they would address that player and take action right away.
Someone ALWAYS knows...

Exactly. Everything from bubs was about “waiting for due-process [sic]” and “waiting for the facts”. The facts were that MSdUi gave raises/new contracts to people who likely belonged in residential treatment centers because it wanted to win so badly that it didn’t give a baker’s fuck about its struggling employees.

They truly benefitted from their national irrelevance in the CFB world through the whole ordeal. Imagine the shitstorm if it had been Texas or Florida State that handled everything exactly how Bozeman State did. 😳 But only NOW was the handling abhorrent according to some bubs. 🙄
