The point is, that yes he can take last year as his redshirt year, he has to inform the NCAA. Most view this as the paperwork formality that it is, but it still has to be done.
Also, the University could have in anticipation of JJ's return, informed the NCAA at the beginning of last year that JJ was redshirting and he would not have to petition them at all.

If it's just a "paperwork formality", why did you even bring this up and say that he had to "petition" the ncaa? See your quote below:

"SO JJ will have to petition the ncaa for a redshirt for last year"
WTF do you care what I do? Someone asked a question and I answered. Like I said earlier, if you want to talk to me in person about it I'm game.

FFS another internet tough guy who goes to paradise falls and drinks all afternoon. you must be about the same level of itellect and bruce danielson, geez, what a loser

Shouldn't you spell correctly and use good grammar when making fun of someone's intellect?

JJ certainly wasted no time getting reinstated... I guess that probably means it was his plan all along.

...loyal to his team. Jordy is a special individual.

Zzzzzzz...Some Egrizers are so dense as to not know that the malevolent thread derailer from the Corn Belt will keep jerking their chain as long as they let him :?: Meaning, they need to IGNORE THE BASTARD! He's obviously getting all the attention he can't get anywhere else - and he's lovin' it  Really, of all the obnoxious outsiders we've ever dealt with over time why does anybody give a rat's ass what this particular low life clown thinks? He's already taken up most of a thread which started off with folks happy to be getting JJ back.
In the meantime, consider yourselves as having been had. :whocares:

(The best solution Chris is to ban this knuckledragger permanently...)

If there is even a hint of the possibility of an argument, egrizzers seize it everytime!! You were all arguing the same thing but admirably turned it into a classic row, including threats of meeting the other guy out back and all of it!! God, this place is great.

I'm 43 and retired so if I want to go to PF all afternoon I can. And it's intellect, Einstein.

Where does one sign up to be able to be 43 and retired?

Yeah, we have a poster who can't quite grasp the concept of 5 years to play four. Others are trying to help him catch up.

All this anger in the tread delivering the best news Montana has had in what seems like forever...

You nailed that one, JBS! One of the best commentaries that I've ever read about e-griz came from the Sam Houston board. It was during the 2011 playoffs and the week of the game against SHSU. A guy on their board wrote something close to: I got on their board (e-griz) and tried to start some crap with them but they were too busy arguing with themselves to even respond.

E-griz puts the fun back in dysfunctional.

MOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!! He called me a poopy head

If you guys can get PR out of the shadows, I'm concerned... Ghee who took such good care of Kemps eligibility and academic progress last year is the one in charge of JJ's NCAA paperwork and no one is concerned, least of all PR. That SHOULD indicate a possible problem.

Must be a race issue! :coffee:

Also, I think the coaches want JJ on the field, not sure they really cared about GK getting cleared.

Gawd. I get that he has 5 years. I just happened to mention that one of them has to be a redshirt year and that he has to inform the NCAA of his intention, which I know is a formality, and suddenly I am the bad guy. I didn't make the rules.

The sh*t with Playerep is personal.

Not sure if this belongs here or not. i assume it does, as it directly affects us, but if not, feel free to move it.

Looks like JJ will be slinging the rock around for them next year. This makes them a much better team. I am still confident we will beat them, but things got a lot more interesting on that side of the Divide today.

I kind of assumed whit the press and the fallout from this trial, he would transfer, but it looks like he wants to rebuild himself in Snizzoula. Good luck. A couple losses in a row and we will see where the Griz fans loyalties really lie.

I agree, they instantly become a much, much better football team with the addition of Johnson. I am okay with that.....it makes both the Big Sky Conference and the competition even stronger for a BSC championship. I actually think it would be pretty neat to see both MSU and UM in the top 5 at playoff time. That is positive recongnition for the whole state.

As for your comment about them losing 2 in a row and let's see what happens.....I am not sure with Johnson at the helm they will experience that. That guy can flat-out play....I'll give him that. But if it does happen, you are right, all heck will break loose in Zootown!

The Griz will be tough next year with probably the most talented o-lines, d-lines/front seven returning among the Big Sky teams. They will probably work themselves back into a top 5 ranking.

Qualifying for the playoffs out of the Big Sky is going to take a lot of hard work and a little bit of luck.

Yep, it definitely makes the CAT-grizz game a lot more interesting. Hard to say right now just how good each team will be when that game rolls around, but just having JJ back on the field after the media circus is going to be a circus in itself.

I would be surprised if UM doesn't set an attendance record this year. No such thing as bad press and he definitely kept them in the media. His not guilty verdict and reinstatement has to energize their fan base. egriz.com has been like a FCS championship post-game celebration since last Friday. His reinstatement is like a parade down Main Street.
