Why would the Summit be calling if "It was agreed to years ago" ?

The Dakotas just got phone service. The Telegraph was too slow.

The Summit is planning to call UM presidents Dennison and Engstrom, is what I heard.

Unsuccessful at increasing revenues, the primary objective of change for BSC members is to reduce cost; travel is a significant component, particularly for football. The scenario I laid out earlier, expansion and a split into two separate conferences, north and south, achieves that and also strengthens existing regional rivalries. It is not my pipe dream; it has been discussed in public settings by UM AD officials. Moving to a midwestern non-football conference is counter to their objectives. We talk football on this forum.

Augustana is a D-2 Private University located in Souix Falls South Dakota. They are no way in the same league as the Montana or Montana State . They can't even compeate with the University of Souix Falls another D-2 program closer to Central Washington University. This is the opinion of my oldest boy who played OL for 4 years for South Dakota State.

Just a practical question: Let's say that UNDSU gets in a playoff game or something, and the fans in the shed go hog wild and, in the Missoula tradition, tear down the goal posts at the end of the game. As said earlier, Dixie St and Metro St will be backfills for the Big Sky when the Montanas and Idaho leave. No Col would get a travel partner and SUU will get Dixie St. The WAC is only participating because it will get Poly, Davis and Sac but give up Seattle and UVU to the Big Sigh.

The AD is against the move, and says RMAC/DII is perfect fit. Consultants says they would have to double their athletic budget, plus come up with a DI fee that is a third of their currently budget
