So how is that working? We hear Dixie State and Central Washington will be members. Is that getting better? Will it help our coaches in their recruiting efforts?

I still ask, where is a realistic place for UM to move there athletic programs? UM has zero leverage in the BSC, and that is not going to change.

Pure f***[*] conjecture passed off as known fact, per usual. You don't know the future any more than that dumbass OP does.

By the way, get out from under your rock every once in awhile.

Agreed 100%. And you forgot the strengthening of the conference in general by jettisoning dead weight like UNC, SUU, CP and Sac State.

Why would we kick out SUU who has won or competed for several Big Sky FB Championships? They helped our strength of schedule overall.

When did they suddenly start competing?

Rhetorical question, so Ill answer for you: WHEN WE STOPPED PLAYING EVERYBODY IN THE CONFERENCE. That is what the conference champ has become: See, SUU, NAU, CP as prime examples of teams that are paper tigers getting their collective asses handed to them in the playoffs because they managed to build up a gaudy record dodging all the difficult teams in the conference.

At least they were able to make it to the playoffs, playing us the last couple of seasons was more of an equal footing kind of game rather than us being considered a powerful opponent.

Sad, but true. For the past several years, we've been able to predict what teams are going to contend for the conference title ... just by looking at the schedules before the season starts. The absolute bottom-dwellers might be an exception, but even they become middle-of-the-pack if they luck into the right schedule.

So: I haven't really looked at the upcoming schedule across the Big Sky. Who's going to be a "surprise" (NOT!) contender this year?

No, it’s about the OTHER teams they dodged...
