The biggest stat between the two coaches is turnovers.

Hard to totally predict but based on the current 5 games this year's team would finish with 11 forced interceptions and 9 recovered fumbles.

2017's team had 16 interceptions and 7 forced fumbles.

But that's half the story.

On the otherside the 2018's team is projected to throw 7 interceptions and lose 7 fumbles.

Where 2017's team threw 16 interceptions and lost 10 fumbles.

That would project 2018 to be +6 where the 2017 team finished -3.

in other words, you'll twist any stat available to try to make hauck look better?

Just facts

This thread is ridiculous and does nothing of value. Stitt isn't here anymore, let him go.

The comparison is valuable if only because it’s interesting for fans to compare results of differing coaching styles and philosophies from one staff to another. This entire goddam site does nothing of value outside of amusing us die hards.

Hauck doesn't have to look better, he is better.

Division 1 coach vs high school coach.

I forgot about this one. Fewer flags, so many fewer flags!

Better revise your projections

I'm not gonna say it was a coaching issue. 4 lost fumbles are hard to overcome, but this is a bad, bad loss. Come on. Port. St? Bobby's gonna have some 'splainin' to do. We should drop to 20 or so.

Division 1 coach vs high school coach.

Weird that a high school coach could’ve beaten the worst team in the big sky...

I’m just helping to prove projections are always wrong.

There are a few specific things that I’ve noticed in addition to what has already been mentioned.

- more consistent offense. Maybe not as explosive as Stitts offense, but they seem less prone to going 3 and out, or worse, 3 and outs on consecutive series.

- receiver blocking is better this year. I think if JLM had the benefit of better blocking last year, he would have sprung a few more of those bubble screens.

- it’s early in the season, but you just feel like this team isn’t going to have any under achieving , head-scratching kind of losses. If anything, this feels like a team that may over achieve and win another game or two that they shouldn’t win.

So many of the improvements this season are intangible and tough to put a finger on, but just watching them play, you can tell they are a different team. I’m really excited about the rest of this season!

Go Griz!

There is so much fail in this thread, hindsight being 20/20, but this post pretty much sums up the fail.

And the one from TCCGriz saying timeout management would be better...

And the one from Griz:
The opening drive of the game and the opening drive of the second half are infinitely better. Every game.

And this one from flowtowngriz:
The biggest stat between the two coaches is turnovers

And this one from mtgrizfankb:
anyone want to go through the data and compare drives with less than 2 first downs? I would be curious but I'm pretty lazy

Perhaps this thread jinxed us?

5 pages on this thread, and you single me out? I was laughing at myself about this one yesterday. Yesterday’s loss does make my post look silly, I’ll freely admit that. Tough loss, and all teams have them. We’ll see how the coaches and the team respond. I’m still happier with this years coaching than the last three years.

I’m glad I could provide some entertainment value for you, AZ.

I’ll still be be tuning next week and will be in the stadium four our final two home games. Go Griz!

Yeah, I’m sorry about that...but your post DID cover a lot of the “issues” that we thought were gone that resurfaced yesterday...but rest assured you weren’t alone, I just got too bored to find the rest...
