Will you be done with BH if….
KB cracks the 2deep?
Takes meaningful snaps?
What if he’s the day1 starter?
What if he’s considered QB2 now?

Then Hauck will have failed again. For the third year in a row.

Our offense was better three years ago because we had a good QB that would make the right reads and we had an NFL receiver and another all-American caliber receiver. Rosey is the only guy to call our offense since they came back. If you think Hauck somehow took over play calling in any way that’s hilarious.

We will be more of a run/play action team this year. Only issue with an offense like that is you have to get the lead. Hard to play from behind when you are relying on the defense to respect your run game.

I didn't say, at all, that Hauck took over play calling. I'm more positive about Hauck than a good percentage of folks around these parts. I was meaning a lot closer to what you are saying, about the roster and injuries. I don't know what guys could run what plays. I'm not in those rooms where those discussions are had. But I see a lot of people blaming Rosenbach for being "boring and overly conservative, only running up the middle and calling short outs." That is certainly not his style while he has called plays here.

The year was an aberration, I get that. I was just commenting on the difference coming up in the offense and expressing that I don't think he suddenly couldn't call plays. I think there was a lot more going on with last year's offense than some seem to think.

Rosey was the reason they had any offense in the first couple of seasons because they didn't have much an o-line and most of the rushing yards came from getting Sneed out on the edge. You won't see a trio like Akem, Toure and JLM again and was lucky to have the opportunity to work them into the offense. He invented ways to get balls into the hands of playmakers that won games. Last season on the other hand, was a slog of epic proportions. I would agree that the receivers have had.a tough go of it in the last couple of seasons, but that's due in part to uninspired route strategies that meant most of the throws were aimed inbetween the numbers and the sidelines.

I know theres a competition, but when you have a guy like Vidlak, you have an opportunity for an accurate passser to throw guys open. He showed you that last spring. Johnson was a streak passer at best, sometimes you got dimes and sometimes you got uncatchable balls. And I would agree that the entire receivers group needs to get better at route running because it appeared more often than not, each catch was contested - meaning these guys were often covered like blankets and had to fight for the reception.

Bottom line................ Hauck 2.0 and his staff of semi-retired dinosaurs have not been successful of recruiting both in-state, and out-of-state. It should be obvious by now, but so many refuse to accept it. Now, we'll wait for PR and Kem to defend Hauck's recruiting efforts in 5-4-3-.....

Have to laugh at the new support and hope for Brown. This is a kid who has been slammed incessantly by many on this site, with comments like "wasted scholarship", "couldn't start in the Frontier conference", etc. And now, he is our hope for being a solid QB? You dudes are hilarious!
