MSU champs has 0 NFL players

If their qb gets hurt, Cats are toast.
As are most teams in the FCS.

Honestly, really don't know for sure until the 2nd qb is given meaningful reps.

If I recall correctly, a few not to be named egrizzers said they'd drop off after Tommy graduated. Unfortunately, that was proven wrong.

As hard as that pill is to swallow, the Cats are truly national title contending FCS elite. They don't rebuild. They reload.

I think they've proven that.

Yes they're contenders. And they're currently the best team in the FCS until proven differently. But they need to check their big heads a little bit because they're no NDSU.

100.

I will say, though, that farrrrr too many cat fans believe the delta between the two teams is enormous, when in all honesty the GRIZ were a bad bounce to a wildly beaten defender away from hosting -- and very possibly winning -- the semi and the NC. Credit to the cats. They found a way, as good teams do. But to suggest as many of them are that there are light years between the programs is about as bub a thing as you can *do.

*Recall, they put player's mugs on portashitters and gave raises to assistants who drove drunk, caused property damage, lied to the police and destroyed evidence. So this is sayin' sumpin.
This is absolute cope until we prove we can beat them more than 3 out of 10. Like it or not, at the moment they own us.

Doesn’t matter if they have 0 or 5. To be the man you gotta beat the man and sadly, right now the man resides in Boze Angeles. Hopefully BK and Co change that.
According to the NFL MSU is like the smartest retard rather than the man. They might be the best in the FCS but the FCS is not good football compared to P4.

Two good posts by Everett and Wolf. I agree completely. Including credit to the Cats.

What does that say about the team you root for?

I think we all get that neither program is as good as a lot of P4 teams, but there's still a fair amount of NFL talent out there. MSU's best NFL prospects are underclassmen that probably aren't going to be at MSU for much longer. Braden Zimmer out of Billings already got 7 figure offers and there will be more next offseason. He's not currently the best player from either program, but he's the best NFL prospect from either program right now.

That says the FCS as a whole is a dying brand and that I would be better off following UofA and ASU if I want to watch future NFL players. That’s too bad because I went to UM for undergrad and the gameday environment/community support of the program is a lot better in Missoula than any program in AZ. Too many transplants in AZ that are fans of where they went to school or are from like myself for either team to have the local support that UM and MSU both do in their communities.

FCS isn't a dying brand. It has terrific football, terrific competition and a very good playoff system. Who cares if players go to the NFL? I sure don't. Who wants to want a bunch of future NFL players? I don't. I want to watch quality football and competition in a fun and loud stadium and in a great atmosphere in the stadium and around town. And watch lots of home playoff games. I like to watch some great FBS games, but I prefer FCS football. FBS has become too professional for me.

And you still search for Blockbuster Video to rent DVDs.

For attending a game I like when it is not below 50 degrees which pretty much limits me to just the Griz non conference home games. I was going to go to the North Dakota game last year but a close family member got cancer so I canceled all trips last fall to spend more time with them. UA and ASU have a solid chance of one of them making the CFP this upcoming season. Tx Tech was the strongest competition in the conference but they lost their qb to gambling addiction.

I don't watch MSU play because I want to watch future NFL players, I watch them play because I love my football team and love football. If your goal is to watch future NFL players, then being a fan of an FCS program never made any sense to begin with.
