people are idiots if they think he is on the hot seat. His record is 6-2 right now and by the end of the season 9-2 he should be getting a raise to match the vandal's coach...

If Bobcat fans truly believe BH simply inherited the program in 2003 and won BSC championships by luck, they have to think about this: I built a program from an absolute embarrassment to a winner of multiple BSC championships and became the winningest HC at the school in the modern era. I was fired for having one (my first) losing season. A bumbling walrus inherited what I built and had two straight losing seasons to kick off his tenure. He bailed to become a position coach where his squad is currently .500 after dropping the last 3.

Who am I?

I'll bite. Rob Ash.

And we should probably add that Taylor, the Sac. State head coach, in his third season, has taken a very average-to-below-average program, whose fan base is perhaps lower than Sentinel High School, and who averages 4000 fans for a typical home game, to winning the Big Sky Conference.
SacSt was a co-champion with Weber at 7-1 in 2019.

Yeah, I forgot about that co-champ. That was in Taylor's first season, right? If so, that even more impressive, that he took a team which was 2-8, and 0-7 in the Big Sky, finishing in last place, and was conference co-champ the very next season. Then, he has them primed two years later to win the Big Sky again. How much more impressive can a coach be?

Guess this destroys the constant excuses we read on egriz like "just wait until Bobby gets his recruits in place".....or, "it takes more than three seasons to re-build a program"

The Taylor case is of course anecdotal and I doubt SacSt retains him long, so I don't know what it "destroys". I've seen no one claim that BH is a better HC than Taylor; it's only your consistent attack on BH. The 32,000 enrollment at SacSt likely provides him a good student activity fee pot of cash and he doesn't have to go far to recruit his talent. N. CA has a few more prospects than MT.

Checking another of your facts, SacSt has averaged 7507 for their 3 home games this year, a bit above your 4000 claim. Still quite lame for such a large student body, such a good team and a stadium that holds 21,000.

Anecdotal? Hahaha, I think you mean empirical. Why would SSU not retain Taylor?
Are you really saying that commuter school Sac State has a recruiting advantage over Montana?
And uh, no Hauck is not a better coach than Taylor.

So, facts are anecdotal? Dude, you must be suffering from Biden-esce syndrome. Might wanna stop accusing me of "constant attacks on your God, Bobby Hauck". Wanna show me a post attacking him? I'll wait.

So, Sac. State averages a whopping 7500 fans, playing on a glorified high school field......... Whoooooo! So impressive! If they could just get to 10,000 fans per game, they might come close to some of the high school crowds in Texas, CA, and the Seattle area.

You can spin it all you want, but the FACTS are that Taylor took a 0-7 Big Sky team, and won the conference the very next season. Two years following, he is the favorite the win it again. And, we still have Griz fans supporting a lifetime free pass for Bobby Hauck................

Taylor inherited one of the most talented teams in the BSC who had spent the previous half decade with absolutely atrocious coaching. His situation is much closer to Mike Houston's at JMU--easily one of, if not the most talented team in the FCS year after year that simply suffered from bad coaching--where these types of jumps are actually doable. It also helps that Taylor might be the best coach in the conference, and one of the best in all of FCS.

If it's so easy for great coaches to immediately turn programs around, why does Cal Poly suck dogshit this year? Beau Baldwin is easily one of the best coaches the BSC has seen this century.

I don't think Hauck is the end-all-be-all of coaches, but comparing Sac State to Montana after coaching changes is not apples to apples at all, and that's without factoring in the injury situation we've dealt with this year.

Montana has the best facilities in all of FCS. The best fan base as well. No reason they shouldn’t be out recruiting everyone in the conference. The school programs and educational opportunities may be a detractor, but minimally. Hauck got Montana into the playoffs last year. This year? Maybe and it would be an accomplishment with all the injuries and departures. He needs to find a new OC and fast. That seems to be clear, even with rose colored glasses on.

Funny; you essentially regurgitated my post on Taylor, which singled out his excellence. The post that supplied the facts that you have wrong. It's anecdotal because you can't show me a list of others that have done it, since your narrative was to dump on BH for not doing the same. There was no spin in my post; what was not factual? I suspect you went off on a rant because you don't know what anecdotal means. So reactive to any challenge that you neither check facts nor read the post.

I don't think facilities and fan base are in the top 3 reasons a kid will commit to a school.

They absolutely are. You are telling me the Champions Center isn’t a recruiting tool? Fans in the stands when a recruit watches on TV or visits? Come on. Give me the top three then. Coaches? Sure. Programs? Sure. Geography. Nope. Maybe dollars now with the new rules, but probably not in FCS. Tradition - kind of goes hand in hand with facilities and fan base. Schemes, playing style - fall under coaching in my opinion. Playing time and starting right away. Maybe, but that might be the wrong recruit.

I don't know what anecdotal means??? Ha Ha Ha. Aren't you rich!

Urban Meyer accomplished it only 4 times in his career, taking over under-performing programs and immediately making them winners. Bowling Green, Utah, Florida, and Ohio State. Or are these examples merely anecdotal? 8-)

Mel Tucker, Michigan State football coach. In second year, took a sub-500 program to a top 5 national ranking, and currently undefeated season. Another anecdotal example...............
