Of course BH should be in the hot seat. Whatever legacy all of you think he has was absolutely handed to him when he was handed to keys to a racecar during his first stint as HC of the griz.. he then proceeded to drive the wheels off that race car then fled to Nevada... Where he failed miserably.... It is really easy to win when someone has done all the hard work for you however it is much more difficult to win when you are unable to build that racecar yourself...

He was in Chatty for his last game as a Griz HC. How, exactly, is that “driving the wheels off the race car”?

To be much more precise, the “wheels” were knocked off by one Engstrom, et al, in cahoots with the local rag.

Naaaah... The wheels fell off when BH cared more about wins to save his false legacy than the integrity of the program...

This post says nothing more than "I don't like him so he should be on the hot seat".

Quit spewing your drivel in generalities and make your accusations specific if you want anyone to listen.

Once again, I am not a Hauck hater, and think he did a great job during his first tenure at UM. But, I was also critical, as was Alpha, of his going 0-3 in NC games.

To be a true legend as a coach, one would think that wining the chipper, at least once, might be a qualification of that adulation. Yes, he beat the Bobcats every year like a drum, which certainly elevated his legacy. Still, he could get us to "the show", but never was able to take a curtain bow.

Ultimately, Bobby will have to prove that re-hiring him was the right move. Lots of seasons passed between his tenures here. Things change, kids change, the game changes, Bobby has changed.

My questions to Griz Nation are these......... if we lose again to the Cats, will minds be changed? How many seasons will Bobby get a pass on beating the Cats, and on going more than one-and-done in the playoffs. In Bobby's first tour here, only 16 teams got in. Now, it is much easier to make the playoffs, even with records like 7-4. In our glory days, a 7-4 season would have been considered a failure. Now, many hope that we can even achieve that record for a chance to be in.

If we have Cam and two legit running backs, we beat the Cats.

Seriously, Cam is the answer??? ROFL

And, you think that any of our injured RBs can somehow run through a hole which doesn't exist?

He did have success against the cats in his 1st stint as HC... but again, the program was strong enough when he took it over that all he had to do was show up to win. His success, his "legacy" is owed to those who built the program, not his own coaching prowess. Since he ran the wheels off a "once" highly successful program, he never again has been able to EVEN COME CLOSE to matching that success when he has had to build it himself.

That’s a nice out! If we don’t have anyone injured I like our chances too. :thumb:

Don’t worry, if we have the players, the OL will open the holes!

Bobby Hauck is NOT going anywhere until he has that National Championship as head coach of the Grizzlies!!!!

You are a total joke. In Hauck's last 4 years before leaving, long after his inheritance of a team that had lost 3 of its last 4 games to finish 2002, the Griz were 32-1 against BSC competition with back to back appearances in the chipper. That is really running the wheels off. The wheels came off after he left.

+1

If Bobcat fans truly believe BH simply inherited the program in 2003 and won BSC championships by luck, they have to think about this: I built a program from an absolute embarrassment to a winner of multiple BSC championships and became the winningest HC at the school in the modern era. I was fired for having one (my first) losing season. A bumbling walrus inherited what I built and had two straight losing seasons to kick off his tenure. He bailed to become a position coach where his squad is currently .500 after dropping the last 3.

Who am I?

Close!

I spoke to the Griz captains and assistant coaches at training table. They have no idea what people on egriz are talking about. They denied there were any senseless penalties, turnovers, injuries or inconsistent play in the SUU game. They are confident that additional prep or better focus are overrated and wholly unnecessary for NoCo or any other team for that matter. I was told returning to "fundamentals" and "basics" was for pussies. Film study is for losers, and last week, they weren't losers. They put in the hard work in the spring season and fall camp so they could coast all season. Their battle cry for the rest of the season is "live off the legend." The chant was deafening in that small room. They appreciate fan concern but have no time for armchair QB's who never played the game in the last two weeks. I left the room full of confidence, second only to theirs, comforted that the team will change nothing going forward now and in the guaranteed playoffs.
