HaveGriz is 100% accurate there was no way Gus was going to be pulled in favor of anyone else had he not got injured. I do look forward to more spread option plays for Chalich and/or Simis. If, Chalich can calm himself, he can find more consistency. Simis, appears be more even keeled when it comes to emotions. Either way, I feel they will take care of the QB position and do better than many expect, starting against NAU.

We need to stop bringing down drop down QBs they never seem to pan out for us outside of Ochs. Local boys can get a pass for a few bad games, but these dropdowns struggle and the boo birds come out, not saying its a bad thing its just what i've observed with Swogger, Roper etc.

Fun fact....Chalich grew up closer to UM than any QB on the roster outside of maybe Weyer....Also, the Chalich deal was not your normal drop down situation, nothing like the Swogger, Roper, Washington, Ochs etc. situations.

But, he's a leader & the offense knows it. It's time Stitt sees that there's more than the one dimension of understanding his system. It's the guy who gets out there and leads his offense. Other than the QB, the rest of the offense are horses: they have to trust the guy with the reins. I think Chalich is the guy who can handle those reins very well.
