“Dutch” yep that’s my nick name, do you think it’s funny? Does it make you laugh? You don’t have the nuts to engage with me about grizzly football. Go f*** yourself. Not sure what the message is you are trying to convey, why are you mocking my nick name because once again I think you neglected to read the initial posts on this thread remember this isn’t Vietnam there are rules and the purpose of this thread was an attempt to go through the roster and discuss grizzly players, recruits and coaches with real knowledgeable, sincere grizzly fans. I gotta say I’m pretty underwhelmed by the experience. Im not sad or angry I’m just disappointed that i make the effort to try and engage with what I thought would be like minded griz fanatics and you get attacked and mocked in a very subtle condensing way by some smug dickhead tucked safely behind his keyboard, and fellas I’m 6-3 and weigh 225, so you should stay behind your key boards. I’m thinking of starting a thread for new egriz members like myself so we can post without getting picked off by guys like Ursa Major, and his autofallcio riff, for simply trying to talk about grizzly football on a website that is supposed to be dedicated to all things grizzly. What a pathetic joke this has turned out to be. The irony for me is I had the most gratifying thread and chat with a MSU guy about Troy Andersen and I got attacked and mocked and called a jerk for ruining a thread. It wasn’t broken and I gave it back. So then I post a thread so I can keep talking to the MSU guy about an incredible Montana grown athlete because I found him to be really invested and knowledgeable and it was really enjoyable. That’s the level of discourse I was expecting when I started this thread. I have tried to be polite in my posting and have attempted some levity that didn’t go ober well, but I will still try and be polite and respectful in my future post because that’s the way I was raised and how I matriculated at the U. So in closing any of you smug motherfuckers feel the need to mock me or personally disparage me for my opinion you can all go piss off. I’m here for the football and not to be mocked about my “social filter” our my spelling or syntax or grammar or any other inane thing about my posts unrelated to frizzly football. You fellas are just a disappointing nuisance to try to negotiate around and away from. Ok that’s all got. Thanks.

Howdy, "Just saying"~~ This Frenchtown kid Jace Klucewich is the real deal.As a freshman last week he won every sprint and the long jump in his, first ever, track meet. His times and distance lead the state in all classes, at this time. My son ,Doug, is his personal trainer (Lefler Strength Sport) also worked with past Grizzlies Coyle, Tripp. Wagenmann and Holmes. Jace played football on a high school club team in Seattle( as an 8th grader) at safety, last year. He has won MVP awards at tournaments back East and will garner much attention this year in football at Frenchtown. His dad Josh played football (DB) for the Grizzlies a few years back. He has FBS ability and has been contacted by FBS schools already. I would hope that we send a calling card to this kid and try to get him headed our way as soon as possible. The PAC 12 schools watch this club league and have contacted Jace already so hopefully we get on him as soon as possible! My son thinks he has as much talent as anyone he has ever trained! I personally watched him climb a 2' rope to the ceiling and back from a sitting position... Nobody does that except him and Darren DeCoite. Jace's workout buddy who's dad, Dave is also an ex Griz safety. Go Griz! I'll be watching Jace and keeping you posted...All my kids went to Frenchtown. Go Broncs! Go Griz!

Ok, now I do believe they are one in the same.

Yes that was the general consensus that he past numbers equates to poor accuracy. When I referred to their past Hx I meant Sneed got recruited by Bobby before he resigned and it’s my understanding that Snead, Bobby and Rossy kept in contact over the last couple of years with the job changes and the transfers, and then this last recruiting process. So yeah they had way more significant contact with Snead then they did with Jensen. These are pretty insignificant talking points now. What’s with the exclamation point at the end of your questions? Thanks

Does anyone have anymore thoughts or observations on the friday scrimmage and not just about the Snead and Jensen competition. Thanks

<t>I the sky you might want to weigh in on this post. AG and Ursa Major reposted a couple of our posts. See above. AG wrote on his “ok now I do believe they are one and same.” And UM wrote on his “ this is starting to turn into this movie” and posted a fun meme from the classic movie One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest starring Jack Nicholson, from the Ken Keasey novel. So anyway I don’t know either AG or UM only contact was just from a few brief posts. But after I started this thread and I had posted a fair number of lengthy posts and the thread got going and it was starting to be really enjoyable, UM rolls in to the discussion and throws a bomb at me. Something to the affect that a slight shove or push and I will have achieved autofallatio. So I read this and I think who is this prick, as a male I believe that was my reptilian cortex talking. UM, you really got my attention and hopefully everybody else’s here at Riverdale High. But that was your intent right, because you are good at this stuff aren’t you, I can tell. Then I start to breath again and try to analysis just what Jughead here was trying to say to me. I think you thought that maybe my posts were too long or verbose or too opinionated (that’s actually what I was shooting for by the way I wanted my opinion posts to sound opinionated, lol) and you made a funny metaphor about my long posts that you thought I enjoyed too much right, like someone who just likes to hear themselves talk and likened them to me trying to suck my own cock right? Well it really did the job UM and what probably made it the most effective was that you did it in so few words. After all my wordy post you were able assert your dominance over me in one short pithy little insulting post. Well played sir. Because I’m just a new freshman in your eyes right? And you, AG, Archie and Reggie are the cool older jock/rebel guys who run the school and make sure that us nerdy freshman and sophomore types know our proper place on this board, am I right? Now I’m thinking why does he think he can post that and comment on me like that? If I was female would you make the same comment about me except change it to autocunnilingus? I know I would not make that insult to a woman, I was raised by a strong mother I guess, who was at the U of M in 1941, and I will also give you the benefit of the doubt on this one. So with that being said why was it so easy to post it to me. Can you tell us that thanks? Then UM posted the fun meme, did anyone notice the actors in the pic in the front is Danny Devito and on the left is Christopher Lawerance. Good stuff. So UM I’m trying to decipher what the meme is about and what context should it be interpeted in? What were you and AG passing back in forth in your cryptic posts about me and I the sky? I could only come up with you were implying I was nuts or I the sky was nuts or egriz was nuts I don’t know but something along those lines. But hey if I have totally misinterped it let me know and please explain it to the rest of the thread. So really UM, no one will be mean back to you or shun you and you won’t even have to go to Mr. Weathersby’s office, I promise. So it’s okay UM you don’t have to hide you can come out and explain yourself. And remember UM I tried to ask you politely about what you meant by your autofallactio comment directed at me?And then what happen, remember you got shy and didn’t want to play anymore remember? Did you get scared? That wasn’t my intent at all I just wanted to see if we could still be friends, but we can’t because you fast ran away. So please tell us now what you were trying to say ok? Thanks in advance UM. Oh also remember when you wouldn’t respond to my requests before and I told you to go away and be a dickhead at some other thread? Well you should still go away for at least a timeout and you can come back as long as you promise to leave your faux toxic masculinity at home. Deal?

And AG you sent me a nasty graham too on another thread remember? Remember you were discussing me with some of your cool friends and you said I wasn’t a troll, I just didn’t have a much of a social filter. And then one of your buddies says “you mean no filter at all” and you agreed and then you made a metaphor about me and my posts too, remember? You referenced John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, and you likened me to Lennie the mentally retarded man-child and remember he liked to play with the the puppy but he played so hard and aggressively that he sadly kills the puppy. So in your metaphor the puppy represented you and everyone on egriz, right? Did you remember at the time I was on that thread and I was foolishly trying to get another cool kid friend of yours to explain what he meant and why he was calling me a pain in the ass, a pos, a bag of feces, a troll pissing on the fan base, and that I should go back to Bozeman, and that I was an egomaniac, and I should go back to the scattbox, he was kind of toying with me and I finally gave up because I figured he must have run away to because he would not respond to me. Its kind of strange that UM and this other friend of yours both ran way after they threw their bombs at me. I was afraid that maybe they were going to initiate me again behind Riverdale High. Boy I was sure glad they didn’t. So I will tell you AG when I read your post about me and my lack of a social filter, you really got my attention. My first thought was who does this assclown think he is. Then I thought what a self satisfied arragont prick. You are really good at being a bully, you got the tough guy persona going on and you also come across as an educated intellectual with your Steinbeck reference really nice touch. So yeah your barb was pretty pretensious and condescending. You are very good at this stuff too. So AG can you explain to me and I the sky why you think we are trolls posing as two different people? Or were you and UI teasing that we were crazy and likened us to the cuckoos nest crowd. Good stuff. Also can you tell me why you think you can randomly insult people like me who are here to talk about griz football? I sure hope you don’t run away like your buddies cause then we will never be friends.

Thanks for everyone’s considered patients. The fellas here toyed with me pretty good and got me kind of heated and I apologize to anyone that my rants my have offended or annoyed. I really just want to talk about grizzly football. I don’t care to be trolled or fucked with if I wanted that I would hang out over at the lord of the flies, I mean maroon blood. Hey UI and AG I made a literary reference and it might even a metaphor like you guys made. Man I just can’t what until I’m an upper classman. That must be so cool.
Ok fellas can’t wait for your responses. Thanks so much in advance.
Hi Dutch. Really it’s all in fun from me with a little ol fashion ribbing on the new guy from one anonymous poster to another. Everyone in here is anonymous to me except my bro and his bro-in-law so don’t take anything I say to heart unless you started it which you clearly didn’t, I think. Sometimes it’s hard to tell where your posts are going, hence the sky connection. Also, even though there’s spring ball going on, thanx to the current regime’s outlawing of any real football talk, we’re left with meaningless banter tell Sept 1st. So sorry if I hurt feelers. Next time don’t be so damn sensitive :D.

Fat fingers!! Hopefully the NCAA doesn’t find out they kept in contact with him while he was under scholarship at another school. I would presume they both got there first playbook from Rossy at the same time. Anyhow may the best man win, and hopefully he can complete more than 55% of his passes!

Dutch,

Here are three eGriz guidelines that I sometimes follow:

1) Less is more.

2) Relax, it's just a message board. Strong opinionated posts will bring strong opinionated responses.

3) Write drunk, edit sober.

I have fat fingers too. Lol. Juco completion rate is pretty meaningless at this point not worried. However I did hear Choate and Gregorak were very worried after finally seeing Snead throw and almost got in an accident Friday evening when they were driving back to Bozeman. They were reported to have been visiblely shaken as they exited Washington-Griz Stadium according to the Montana Highway Patrol. There was no further information about the incident.

WARNING this post is off message but I deftly tie it into Griz football to still make it relevant.

MSU has a sophmore fullback named R.J. Fitzgerald who is 5-10, 215, and played in 6 games last year as true freshman. In high school R.J. played fullback and linebacker in footabll and was a team captain along with his childhood best friend. R.J. played guard on his high school basketball team and was also a team captain along with his best friend. R.J. also played catcher in legion baseball and was a team captain along with best friend.

R.J.’s dad is Greg Fitzpatrick from Columbus, MT. Greg was a 4 year Griz letterman who played in the mid 1990’s, and was a memeber of the 1995 national championship team. R.J.’s uncle Jon Fitzgerald also from Columbus was a 3 year letterman for the Griz in the late 1990’s. R.J. grew up in a dyed-in-the-wool Griz family and spent countless Saturdays at Washington-Grizzly Stadium with his grandfather, father, uncle and his best friend. Growing up R.J. regularly attended Griz summer camps along with his best friend. As school children R.J. and his best friend would constantly pretend that they were playing both football and basketball for the Griz depending on the season. During R.J.’s junior year of high school the Griz started to actively recruit him. R.J. made arrangements with the Griz for a campus visit during his senior year. Greg and R.J. drove to Missoula on the weekend of R.J.’s on campus visit. When Greg and R.J. arrived on campus they were told that there must have been a mix up because R.J.’s visit was actually scheduled for the following weekend and they should comeback then. Greg told the Griz recruiter that next weekend R.J. had a conflict with his basketball team and couldn’t come back the following weekend. Greg was told that there was no one available because everyone else was tied up with other recruits who were visiting that week. Greg suggested that they shorten the visit and just meet with the position coach, maybe tour the campus and the stadium and then have dinner with the other recruits and coaches and then they would drive home and not stay the weekend. Greg was told that it just wasn’t possible and they should really try to return the following weekend. Greg was getting frustrated and could not understand why something couldn’t be worked out. Unbelievably the recruiter Greg was dealing with was unaware of who he was or his connection to the program. Greg and R.J. left campus and drove the 3.5 hours home that night. Greg was enraged by the time they got home. He could not understand why the Griz would treat him and his son like they did. It made no sense. Greg contacted MSU about recruiting R.J. and scheduled a visit.

R.J. then made his on campus visit to MSU along with his best friend who was being highly recruited by MSU. It is pretty common for schools to recruit 2 players who are high school teammates and also friends and will offer both recruits in order to get the more highly regarded recruit to commit. This can be effective but the recruiter must be able to connect the dots and understand the history and relationship between the recruits. It also helps to know about any family connection the recruit has to the program. In this case the Griz did not do their due their diligence and MSU did and as a result R.J. lined up with his best friend in the MSU backfield during the 2017 season.

And that is the story about how the Griz managed to completely ruin a relationship with a former Grizzly great and miss out on recruiting his son and his son’s best friend, Troy Andersen. Smh.

Bobcat blue runs deep in the Andersen family! Would’ve been a tough flip ,I doubt getting R.J. would’ve gotten Troy here. R.J. was handled wrong.

..if this a true story I'm glad there was a coaching change..its almost hard to comprehend that someone
would drive that distance and be turn away!..heads should have rolled!

Smh.
This sad story is unfortunately very true. Greg has a '95 NC ring and John a '01 ring. This whole event not only ruined UM's relationship with Greg; it ruined it with the whole family. A family of teachers/ coaches. Only John still owns any Griz gear, which he may wear again now that the staff was changed. I asked father Bob to the EWU game last year along with his best friend, and he said he never intended to set foot on campus again. One of Greg and John's sisters is my grandson's 4th grade teacher; the home room is now a bobcat shrine. The former staff did more damage than just losing the key games.

Thank you for your response. I heard this from some friends from Dillon and just took their word for it. Thanks for filling in the real life family details. Must be very hard for them. I didn’t realize that John was on the 2001 team. That just adds to the degree of angst over this story. I feel bad for griz nation for losing R.J. and Troy, but I feel awful for Greg and John. Two brothers who both played on national championship teams, how rare is that, which is something I’m sure they cherished and gave them a lifelong connection to the university. I don’t know how this could have been handled any more poorly by the Griz. It seems strange that any staff would not know about and cultivate any and every connection that every former player would have to a program. I think that’s like a pipeline to future players and their progeny. It would be simple to keep a data base with what I would consider pretty important information in a state the size Montana with all of the legacy players. The other most striking take away from this for me is the fact that Dillon’s fullback and quarterback from their state championship team lined up the following year in MSUs backfield as true freshman. That is just so unprecedented. There is no question that R.J. could have and should have played for the Griz. Coulda woulda shoulda can’t let it faze me anymore. Hope to never see anything like this happen again. I know that Bobby understands the importance of these relationships and actively cultivates them like he should. Thnaks

He is a fullback, which explains some of it, not all.

I thought the same thing, but I don’t think he had a preference. Just the fact he played in 6 games as a true freshman I’m sure he could have played somewhere on the Griz roster like linebacker or special teams or who knows probably running back as well. As a U of M grad this just made me cringe and want to apologize to the Fitzgerald family. Thanks

Growing up R.J. regularly attended Griz summer camps along with his best... And that is the story about how the Griz managed to completely ruin a relationship with a former Grizzly great and miss out on recruiting his son and his son’s best friend, Troy Andersen. Smh.

I was of the understanding that Troy Anderson was a state ag commit regardless of recruiting process given family connections. Is that incorrect? Regardless, not treating the son of a Griz family member like royalty, even if there was no intention to make an offer, is unforgivable.
