How is this not “interim”? One year contract and reevaluating after the season is the very definition of a lame duck, interim coach.I know what I would be thinking if this were happening at MSU, so I thought I'd pose the question here.
Is there any concern from you guys about recruiting with Haslam saying that this is a one year deal and then they'll re-evaluate? Seems to me like it's somewhat of a lameduck situation, but perhaps I'm mistaken. I also realize that Vigen could be leaving any year, but usually when a coach moves up there's an internal replacement, if Kennedy isn't retained, it would probably be an outside hire and I do think that's a different message recruiting wise. In short, if it were me, I'd be concerned about recruiting...players might not want to come if it's being viewed as the HC having little job security.
Why can’t we call it like it very obviously is? Kennedy is a temporary solution that is auditioning for the permanent gig.
The amount of cope on this board sometimes is honestly ridiculous.
