We do a weekly show with the man in your avatar that is wildly popular. But you probably know that since you ripped that picture off from content Marty was doing with me.
Good point Colter. Another good contributor to the show is Marty. Dude is an encyclopedia! A lot of negative posters on Egriz just like to bitch. If they stopped and listened to some content from people like Marty, Sammy, and tons of other guests including coaches maybe they would learn something other than recreational outrage.

Not 80, but I know my name. Schmidt doesn’t know him much about me, but
I know about through my Bozeman family and know how much he got on field for the Griz. And my wife figures him out in a few minutes. Schmidt isn’t tough enough to be on egriz.
Did Schmidt's law school teach coherent sentences? Yours obviously didn't....

What happens when you copy all of Hoop's posts from this thread into chat GPT and ask it to run a psychological profile, well, you get this. Ai is sure amazing.

This person shows a defensive and status-driven interpersonal style, reacting strongly to any perceived slight, especially around age, competence, or relevance. Their posts rely heavily on external validation, such as family connections, past achievements, and institutional prestige, which suggests a fragile underlying self esteem. They display rumination, rigid thinking, and a tendency to recast ordinary disagreements as personal attacks or deliberate wrongdoing. Their emotional responses appear disproportionate to the triggers, indicating difficulty regulating anger and a strong need to protect their self image. Overall, the writing reflects traits consistent with a narcissistic and suspicious personality style, with underlying insecurity driving much of the intensity.

Tho Ol and Dl definitely had more good moments than bad moments thats for sure. This is also not the jackrabbits of the past 2 years it definitely seemed like a more watered down version. But none the less they kicked some jackrabbit ass. What concerns me is the lack of tfl's,sacks and overall mayhem that our front 7 can cause. Days like solo had used to happen every weekend and sometimes from different players each weekend yet it seems like we've lacked that this year against the quality opponents. Hopefully the guys in maroon handle their business this weekend so they can show some improvements against the scats. Spy Lamson with wing the entire game and I smell burnt bobcat.
If you put a spy on Lamson, that's either one less blitzer or one less man in coverage, and that's not going to go well. I just don't think the way your coaches run your defense is set up super well to spy against a QB that can throw and run. Best bet is that the confusion gets to the QB after a while, imo.

When I did this, I got: "This person is very smart and knowledgeable about the game of football. Is a strong supporter of the Montana team. Has been successful in life. Provides considerable information and research and supports his opinions. Has a significant amount of confidence. Shows that he grew up being tough on the reservation and worked and fought his way through good schools and a successful career in law. Doesn't suffer fools. Has great kids and a great wife. Knows how to travel and have fun. Is one of the best posters on the Montana football message board. Has made a huge number of friends in life. Can tell whether other posters ever played the game of football at any decent level. Well-liked by all his friends."

Says the same things over and over and over and over and over for a quarter century.
Mine said this. ;)

Not true, because we have the best corner in the conference and can play more and better defenses and leave corners and secondary players on islands. Also, will have a new scheme designed by Tim Hauck and Kent Baer which will shut down Lamson. And the front 6/7 now has the confidence to come harder at Lamson and the Cat OL, who are not that great this year.

I watched the video and was smiling the whole time. It was fun to see the hosts seemingly understand what eGriz is for the first time. I found myself thinking, "Uh, yeah, fellas. That's kinda what this is. Thought that was known." People have been threatening to fight dissenters at the Mo Club on here since '02.

I suppose I'd just say to anyone running a bit, it might be useful to know that you didn't invent doing so. That way, you might not be as shocked when you encounter one. ;)😘
Just listened to it. Tough look to ‘dunk’ on an entire fan board for being juvenile and unserious by using fart noises. Lots of look at me energy. I’m remiss to even respond to it.

I’m thankful for Colon Nuance but perhaps his work is more accurately described as sports communication rather than sports journalism.

I didn't want to comment about Schmidt because I didn't want to give him anymore attention but he's a clown. I actually played a lot of ball and on all the teams I've played on, we always had a guy like him. The guys like myself and others who actually started and played called guys like him PRETENDERS. They live in this pretend world where they think they should be the starter and in his case, he probably thought he should've been starting in front of Chase Reynolds. They actually think that they could've done just as good or even better than the guy who's starting(Reynolds) if given the chance.
I played way before him so I didn't know him personally or even heard of him until Colter had him on his show. But during Griz/Cat week we all went out drinking the night after the game and ran into some of the guys who played with him that actually were starters. After drinking a few I just happened to ask, do you guys know this Schmidt guy who's on Colters show and they all laughed. Long story short, they all said he's a clown. I'm not going to go in detail of what they really said because I don't want to get banned on here. Not one of them had anything positive to say about the guy. Not one, oh yeah he was an awesome teammate.
The reason I bring this up is because PRETENDERS act like this and then call it a BIT for views and clicks. And that's completely fine and I honestly don't have an issue with Colter or what he does. I actually enjoy his interviews and have been vocal about the ones with Tripp and how good that one is.
So basically Schmidt is pretending to being something he's not on Colter's show. But when does a bit get moronic and just not funny. And the main thing I had a problem with is the amount of shit he talked about Hauck. Because nobody I played with would dare talk shit about the HC they played for. It wouldn't even cross any of our minds to go on YouTube, a podcast or twitter to bad mouth my Coach whether it be for a bit or in a joking way. Nobody I know that has played the game or that I've personally played with would think that is a great idea. And while it might get you views, clicks and likes from the other pretenders out there, to the former players who played for the Griz don't think it's funny at all. Regardless if the team is winning or losing, we want to support the team, HC no matter what
Colter, like I said I never had an issue with you and I love watching you. But go back and watch all your episodes with Schmidt and look at all the times he's bad mouthed Hauck, any of the players or the Griz and tell me that's ok. And every bit like every joke has some truth to it. Meaning, he may call it a bit to get away with saying all that negativity about our coach and team and say oh I'm just joking,, it's for views and clicks. But to some of us former players who actually give a fuck and care about the program would never talk shit about it whether it be for fun or jokingly.

I wonder if Schmidt ought to try to preserve any credibility he has left, and disappear back into far away podcasts. I don't think he's up to the task of taking on some of the better and more knowledgeable posters on egriz. I suppose he's secretly hoping the Griz lose soon, so he can he told us so. And, as I have said, I think Colter is hitching his wagon too close to the wrong person. Have him on your show(s), C, but be careful coming over here to tell us how great he is. Sounds like some of his contemporaries don't think so much of him. The above post was very interesting and informative.

On the other hand, I think we'd all be much better enjoying the Griz run and supporting the team. As Soldier said previously, there will be plenty of time after the season to discuss it and reflect on it.

That is an interesting point about being negative about his former coach publicly. He is in what I would assume is a fairly unique position for most people in that his former coach is still coaching the team he is a fan of almost 20 years after he played and he is critiquing as a fan.

17 years later.

Quite a bit of work to find out what we already know.

Didn’t you say you were friends with JD Quinn in a previous post? Why don’t you ask him his opinion on this? He has always been unfiltered whenever I have heard him speak and might have some funny stories.
I do and might, but I am not out to get Schmidt and wouldn’t spill beans. I have already talked to some of my Bozeman family. I like Andrew. I know Russum, Bergquist, Horn, Chase, Ferrier, Mariani, Schulte, Burton, Dow, a number of the d-backs, and more too. My son was at the age he loved to talk to those guys on the field after games. We went to Chattanooga both years and stayed at the team hotel.

This new post reads as a highly idealized self portrait rather than an independent assessment, emphasizing intelligence, toughness, success, popularity, and authority. Psychologically, it reinforces a strong self enhancing bias and a need to control the narrative by asserting superiority across many domains at once. The language suggests identity fusion with football knowledge and the message board, with credibility framed as earned through hardship and achievement. The absence of ambiguity or self critique points to rigid self concept maintenance rather than balanced self awareness. Taken together with prior posts, it strengthens the impression of high confidence paired with sensitivity to challenge and a strong drive to be seen as dominant, respected, and unquestioned.

In essence, the post is less about describing reality and more about protecting and reinforcing the writer’s self image. The person is asserting authority, virtue, intelligence, and social success all at once because they feel that status is under threat. When someone presents themselves as universally competent and admired, it usually signals insecurity rather than confidence. The lack of nuance or self criticism suggests they struggle to tolerate disagreement or loss of standing. In plain terms, the post is a defensive self validation exercise, not an objective evaluation.

Feel free to point any stated thing or achievement in my life that isn’t true. You are just jealous. You are just hiding behind a keyboard. A coward. You feel threatened by people with confidence. There isn’t an insecure bone in my body. That seems to offend you
