There are no unanswered questions on the Cat fans side. Blowing that huge Griz lead had to really hurt. I understand your disbelief.

Okay, where was Choate standing when he called TO? Did he run there, or was he standing there? Which ref called TO and when? Which refs signaled a TD, and which others, if any, were signally TO?

Why did Missoula reporter Speltz say both side judges called TD?

Why did Hauck say that "apparently" MSU called a TO?

Where is the video on this play? Why is everyone, especially Cats, afraid to post it?

If there are no unanswered questions, please answer these.

Choate was standing on the MSU sideline about five yards from the official. He walked swiftly, broke into a 1/2 speed run before getting the officials attention. The official (head linesman or linesman) looking down the line of scrimmage on the MSU side of the field made the initial timeout signal and blew his whistle first. All the other officials visible on the replay all signaled to stop the play clock and blow the play dead.

There is only one side judge. He works downfield behind the defensive secondary and will typically leave the TD call on a run play to the head linesman and line judge, who line up on opposite side of the LOS.

Because he wasn’t sure at the time if they actually did and he was probably still processing what just happened. Everyone was.

The game replay can be seen periodically on Big Sky Network via Pluto. Check your local listing. On it you can see every visible official (about 5) signaling timeout.

There is absolutely NO reason not to post the video of the play. The Big Sky Conference would have a copy in their archives. Some Griz, cat, or non-aligned person probably recorded the game. Just connect the tape with someone who can post it on eGriz and/or BN. Let everyone see it, and put the issue to bed. Of course, if the refs were wrong, that would probably be the end of BSC Officiating and anyone related to it. The game would have to be awarded to the Griz. The Griz-cat game would become venomous, unlike the love fest it is now. Get someone to post it. As Groucho Marx said(paraphrasing), "A child of five would understand(how to do it). Fetch me a child of five."

Said it would explain/verify a lot. Just trying to goose someone, like a Cat, to post the video. For all to see an analyze. I don't have the game recorded. I see no reason that every interested person should have to track down the game and sort through to the play. I am not good with technology either. I can't even post a photo.

unfortunately watching a re-run has exactly the same outcome as when I watched it the first time. We still lost and they still won. Next year we will either start a new win streak against the scats or they will extend their streak to 4 and this thread will probably still be going, but I hope not.
