What Came 1st, The Snap, or the Timeout?

OK, lets watch the replay. But, somehow, no one on this site has a copy of the play. I would bet there are plenty of cat fans with a copy of the play. All that has to be done is connect a holder of a copy with someone who has the internet skill to put it on eGriz, or BN. Get it done.

Sorry, it's been locked away in the same vault as all of the 84 championship footage, never to resurface.

watched the game replay twice on pluto.... and you can watch the 84 game on youtube :thumb:

Ahh! Like the JFK assassination files. Nobody accounted for Abraham Zapruder, though. One great coverup 'shot' to hell. Game was on TV, yet a recording of this specific play can't be found? No DVR, DVD, or even VCR? In this day and age where everything, EVERYTHING is video recorded, there is no video of this particular play? No I-Phone footage? There were over 26,000 in attendance, yet nobody recorded the blessed event?

Okay, where was Choate standing when he called TO? Did he run there, or was he standing there? Which ref called TO and when? Which refs signaled a TD, and which others, if any, were signally TO?

Why did Missoula reporter Speltz say both side judges called TD?

Why did Hauck say that "apparently" MSU called a TO?

Where is the video on this play? Why is everyone, especially Cats, afraid to post it?

Choate was standing on the MSU sideline about five yards from the official. He walked swiftly, broke into a 1/2 speed run before getting the officials attention. The official (head linesman or linesman) looking down the line of scrimmage on the MSU side of the field made the initial timeout signal and blew his whistle first. All the other officials visible on the replay all signaled to stop the play clock and blow the play dead.

There is only one side judge. He works downfield behind the defensive secondary and will typically leave the TD call on a run play to the head linesman and line judge, who line up on opposite side of the LOS.

Because he wasn’t sure at the time if they actually did and he was probably still processing what just happened. Everyone was.

The game replay can be seen periodically on Big Sky Network via Pluto. Check your local listing. On it you can see every visible official (about 5) signaling timeout.
