Scats just offered 2020 recruit Jaxon Lee from Drummond, I don’t know how early is to early but I would think we would have offers out to the top guys in Montana for 2020 but don’t know for sure.
scats have been offering people very early since Choate took over, when it’s all said and done I bet that Jaxon will have his Griz offer and from what I’ve heard his family are huge Griz fans so we got the upside on that.
Someone might want to get in a car and drive to Drummond (JUST DOWN THE ROAD!) and talk turkey with this kid. BJ Robertson was at the school yesturday and offered him.

He also was on the sidelines of several Cat games this year. However, if Bobby wants the kid, it may just take an equal offer.

Indeed. :thumb:
I challenge anyone to find a better stat line from a modern, state championship game.

It was like watching a video game. 346, 4TDs, 4picks. They even missed a few stats—he had an on sides kick! Made the UM recruit in that game look...well I’ll just bite my 👅.

Jax has Lazetich blood pumping thru his veins, and he’s on track to be a 3-time state champ and follow in the footsteps of another legend from Granite county, but for some double-crazy reason, Hauck is not showing Jax the love he’s getting from the cats. I swear god is punishing me for years of trash talking the cats.

Yes a majority of Jaxon’s extended family are big time Griz fans but it’s a house divided—his folks met at MSU—and he grew up in Belgrade before moving as a freshman. Some of his best friends are looking forward to playing Belgrade’s first all AA schedule this year.
Point is, Hauck is already way behind on one of the best juniors in the state, a kid that fits Hauck’s mold, and should be a no-brainer. But if Hauck assumes Jax is in the bag because of some legacy and doesn’t start showing some serious love, and loses Jax to the cats, well again I better just bite my 👅

Looks like Charlo's Landers Smith is going to Tech. I thought he was was FCS material at LB good pick up for them.

He is 100% a FCS talent. Again, it has been an odd year in Montana recruiting. Some of these kids signing with Tech, Western, and Carroll are kids who can play at higher levels. Like seriously, Blake Counts is not even sniffing an offer from the Cats or Griz at this point.

The Lazetich family is one of the most legendary football families in the history of the State of Montana.

Back in 2016, I really really liked Jace Lewis as a recruit heading into his senior season and it lead to a Top 10 preseason ranking. By the time I put out my final ranking, Jace was like 17th or 18th as he accepted a PWO from the Griz (can not believe Stitt took that risk). Anyway, I listened to a bunch of outside noise on Jace not being fast enough to be an impact defensive player at the FCS level. Well that is 100% false because instincts can trump speed on the football field. I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm not going to make that ranking mistake in this year's ranking because Ryan Tirrell put on a show on the defensive side of the ball this fall. He WILL be a top 10 player in my final ranking.

Agree with this, he should be. He showed his skills

Any word if Caden Suero, Ty Chouinard or Mark Northey plan on playing football for UM I see they are all enrolled at Montana and they were top players last year, no idea if they walked on or what.

Landers was in the crop of Vikings from Charlo who were suspended for the last few games of the year, that ultimately cost them a playoff spot. Not sure how it played into his recruiting, but I’m sure it wasn’t a good look.

He really wanted to go to the Cats and they were looking at him. I'm sure what happened at the end of the year didn't help.

Definitely had an immediate impact but there were still top players who signed in this class of Montana kids already who had run ins with the law during high school. Kid should still get a chance as he certainly faced the consequences.

Great kid, pretty much whole team got caught, most all high school kids do, not very many got caught. He deserves a second chance for sure.

Oh no doubt, and I agree he deserved an FCS opportunity. Got to see him in the Charlo/Arlee game early and he was superb. They got a steal in landing him.

Believe the Cats wanted him as a PWO. Can't blame him for taking the full ride.

I was at the Billings Central - Hardin BB game last Saturday night at the Metra and Chrishon Dixon put on an amazing display of quickness. His first step is as good as any I've ever seen in MT high school basketball and I've been watching for over 45 years. Wish I knew what his plans are. I can't imagine a better CB prospect from Montana. Love to see him in maroon and silver.

My Top 50 is done fellas but sorry I didn't post 50-46 tonight. I'll catch up with 50-41 tomorrow. Don't worry...just a lot of MT Tech recruits anyway! My goodness has Chuck dominated the state in terms of getting "the best of the rest". Actually, he has several recruits in this class that could absolutely play at either UM or MSU.

Agree completely tech dominated for that level
