Welnel is a potential PWO. Not a scholarship kid in my opinion. But definitely a good enough in-state OL prospect to develop. He's got a good build.

But I know some Griz fans wanted a linebacker recruit and I think Blake Allred from Billings Senior is going to be a PWO for the Griz. My #2 ranked LB behind Askelson.

Hi Vim. Nate Ferguson was offered by Carroll and Western. Tech was interested as well. He has had three recruit trips to UM (and a couple to the other school) this season... He is waiting to see what opportunity brings... Mandic and Mortinson of Butte signed with Tech.

I would have liked to have seen Greyson Mandic, 6-2, 235 sign with the Griz as a Full Back...he ran right threw an attempted solo tackle by Levi Janacaro of Big Sky on his way for a TD in Butte this past season.

Tech is having a good recruiting season. According to them they've signed a lot of players from the Shrine group and some good out of state talent too.

PWO from a D-1 school is not a bad thing at all. They dont just hand those out. Personally, I see a PWO from a D-1 FBS school the equivalent as a partial at FCS. Plus, kids an take the PWO, and have a chance at playing at a high level, and earning a full ride.
I watched his film a while ago, when I first heard he has possibly received a PWO from Boise St. He had a pretty good junior and senior season for Browning, but I personally don't see him as a top 50 recruit in MT. He has the size, thats for sure. If he is getting attention from BSU, I understand it, put that kid over top the center and he could plug up the inside of the line. But he doesnt have that quick twitch movement to shed a block and make a tackle on a D1 running back whose at full speed. I could see him in the BSC though.
