No problem, thank you to all you readers and and those who participate in the Montana recruiting conversation!

Great job and thank you for all the hard work to both Vim and Howard. Interesting to see where you guys agree and disagree. There's some pretty large discrepancies, which is understandable. Now we see why coaches and teams can even struggle with Recruting the top dogs. Found it interesting to see Quick drop off so much (maybe injury related?) and also found it interesting to see a Sumner sneak into top 10 in Vims list.

Nice job guys. Thanks for the work you put into your respective lists. FYI Treyton Pickering -Sunburst - signed with MT Tech in late November or early December.

Maybe George Ferguson should show this list to the new MSU Northern coach. If he picked up the a handful of the unsigned it would be a good start.

Takes one hell of a recruiter to get kids to Havre.

I agree, the toughest part of the job in Havre is to get kids there. Go after the kids on the list and tell them you believe in them and that Havre isn't so bad if they win games. :D

So true! There’s still a handful of kids who are borderline FCS that would make a immediate impact on a NAIA team. Plus, any town is a fun town when you are getting victories, even Havre

Curious why you say this?

Quick has always been a kid that Vim and I have disagreed on. As of lately we have started to see eye-to-eye on him. Early on Vim had him as the second best player in the state, and slowly he fell, going from 2 to 5, to 11 in the preseason top 50, and finally ending up at 34 in the Final ranking. For my rankings, Conor was absent in my Original Top 10, then first appeared in my summer top 30 at 21, the fell to 25 in the Preseason top 50, and in the latest ranking is at 31. I cant speak for Vim here, even though we have discussed Conor quite a bit, but for me, Conor has always been a player in the 20-35 range. He has superb strength and surprising speed for his size, but doesn’t play with the grit I like to see in a o-lineman. The injury didn’t help him and he missed two games at the end of this year. But watching his senior highlight film, I just didn’t see a Top 25 player there. Hopefully that gives you some insight on Conor!

Is that really a question. I think it’s tough area to recruit to (I live in Havre). It’s in the highline not super close to big interstate highways or an international airport. Also a lot of their education programs are offered elsewhere in the state. Also in the past there was not a big financial commitment to the football program. However, it sounds like that is going to turn around.

Just to clarify, I personally like Havre. But dayday basically sums up my opinion on why Northern is a tough place to recruit kids to play football.
