Tech is doing quite well with the recruiting. Copeland was looked at closely by both MSU and UM as either a PWO or partial.

Very, very true. Tech has been picking up kids who are borderline Big Sky players. Kids who could eventually get playing time at UM/MSU. Reminds me of Carroll back when they dominated the frontier.
They also picked up Wyatt Alexander, #40 on my preseason top 50 list. He had been receiving some attention from both schools as well. I had him ranked there due to what I saw from him at DB his junior year, but he had a very good year at WR.

Braxton Hill (Anaconda LB) is a unique option as a recruit. He tore up his shoulder in September and did not play much football. However, his first Ball game this fall he poured in 42 points.

The kid is an athlete

Braxton is a stud. He might lean towards basketball when playing a sport at the next level, but he could easily play football. Pure athlete.

I’m assuming he will be a hooper?

Braxton's size and ability fit the profile of a FCS football player. He may go the basketball route but he is another one of those kids that is hanging around the PWO range with the Cats or Griz. For the amount of football he did play this fall, his linebacker tape was excellent.

He’s a stud. Great kid too! Good one for Griz to pursue!

After magical final seasons, Senior standouts Sulser, Askelson shift to opposite sides of the rivalry — https://skylinesportsmt.com/sulser/

Im closing in on my final Top 50 list of MT recruits for the class of 2018, but there still is some time until they come out, so I thought I’d start a thread with a Montana All Class “All-Star” team roster. And I’d just put together who I would want on a team made up of the 2018 class. So pretty much the MT side of the MonDak game. And others can put together a roster of their own! Thought it’d be something to discuss until the Final comes out

Vim, or any others,
I know these guys are usually noticed first as a junior and then blow up as a senior. But what happens when you a senior show up out of know where on the 1st day of practice and your taken back by his athleticism. I'm speaking of Tyler Buckingham from west. Seems like ht was all over the field at the right time. Is he a late grizzlies/cat get or is nail type. You watch his video and its hard to not like what you see and compare it to the top of the class guys like Askelson. Thoughts.....?

Damn! That's #1 and #2 4 of the top 5 and 5 of the top 7... And that was with coach Stitt the "MAN">>>Bobby Hauck will now get the rest of the blue- chippers!!!POOORR" bobcats!!!

Well something will have to change as the Griz now lead the series 70-30 not exactly a rivalry... :) :) Go Griz

Ty had a great year. Will be my #5 linebacker in the class behind Askelson, Allred, Morley, and Schneider. Would be a nice PWO pickup for either school.

Mortensen, a 4.0 student at Butte High, will have to first recover from a torn ACL that he suffered during two-a-day practices in August.

“I’m going to redshirt,” Mortensen said. “I’m getting ACL surgery on the 29th. Then I’ll rehab through my redshirt season.”

Yes, the player who hardly ever came off the field played his entire senior season on a torn ACL. He also has a torn meniscus.

Not only did Mortensen not miss a game because of an injury that is almost always a season-ender, he didn’t miss a practice.

“I think it was the first or second day,” Mortensen said. “I went to the trainer that first practice, but I was at the next practice.”

Mortensen didn’t realize the extent of the injury until after the season.

“We weren’t really sure what happened,” Mortensen said. “It hurt bad and it swelled up pretty good.”

Good to see the The Dogs are still tough in the Mining City.
