Congrats to Ty and the D today. D gave up 16 points, Offense gave up 14 and the special teams gave up 7..not bad for the D since they were on the field most of the time.....again.

Stitt had better figure out how to run an O if he does not have a QB that can master this scheme. NDSU and Poly were able to rush 3 and 4 and stop Montana from running the ball, that can't happen. Here is to the 2nd act with Stitt and hopefully with maturity we have an O that can help the defense.

Bison's 316 yards of total offense was their lowest of the season, and 1-14 on 3d down conversions for the Bison.
And they won...not that that matters or anything.

Just because NDSU won, doesn't mean the Griz defense didn't play well. The fact is, the Griz D played very well against a very, very good football team. And no dupuyer, I don't believe in moral victories, but it is an indisputable fact that the Griz D played well today.

Not counting the returns the final score is 16-6 our d could only afford to give up 5. Did we do good? Yeah. Does it matter? Not at all.

I think the Griz D is better than their stats. They undoubtedly have up more strictly because they were on the field for 35+ minutes per game with at most, a couple minutes of rest. With Stitts gameplay, they are ALWAYS going to need an above average D. Otherwise UM will turn into an EWU or MSU and need 45 points to win. Kudos to Gregorak.

Your D is excellent. The Cats would die to have D like that. The Cats would be national champs if they had your D. Seems like the Bison are lacking some class on here tonight. Congrats. on a very good season!

dupuyer, much matters than winning. You really don't get it, or understand sport. Below is my recent post in another thread:

No, alot more matters than winning the game. Actually, how you play the game is more important. How the game is played shows and builds the character of the team and individual plays. Teams build on that for the next season, and it can grow into to a strong tradition. Individuals learn and use it to live productive lives and be successful in life.

Look at hard the Griz played today, on both offense and defense. No one gave up or backed off until the final gun went off. I was so impressed with these guys today. Despite getting clobbered, they kept playing hard. They wanted another score. They didn't want to give up a score. I thought the desire and never-give-up attitude displayed today, was truly impressed.

Other things that matter are playing fairly, not having anyone get seriously hurt, displaying sportsmanship.

Most of the guys playing today play and played for the love of the game. That and how you play the game is the essence of sport. That's how I played and what I like and respect. The Griz have alot of high quality guys. Crittenden is not the exception; he is one of many.

See my other post, any coach on any team shoots to develop character. However, winning matters. No coach in the college football hall of fame is 0-forever but a good character builder.

It's just one Douche giving the rest of us a bad name.

The fact that people believe and argue that the d is so much better than the o is proof Ty has to go. The Griz are 1 team as are champions. Ty tries to convince people otherwise because he has the inability to coach a dominant D with the best players available. It's easier to stop a team from scoring. Not the other way around as Ty would love everyone in Missoula to think.
Ty, leave Missoula and learn what you need to beat the NAIA before trying to come back an FCS head coach.

The D gave up 16 points and 316 yards of total offense, and held the Bison to 1 for 14 on 3d downconversions, which are the lowest of the season for NDSU.

This, despite the Bison starting drive 5 times in UM territory, on the 30, 32, 34, 45, and 47. NDSU got only 7 points from those 5 drives. The D was on the field for 40:36 minutes today.

The reality is if the Bison had an accurate QB and a kicker they'd have scored about 30 offensive points which is right in their ball control
wheel house. Take out Brady's picks and this was very similar to the last Griz game in Fargo....

Playa, let me know if you have 15 years before you are expected to pass away. It will take at least that to re-train how you've been taught to 'play' the game. Let alone how you should view and coach the game. Again, you are an absolute idiot. Please go where Ty goes. Wherever that might be I pray you have income tax!! Oh wait. That won't impact your SS direct deposit.

Huh? Nice bit of nonsense from our man, Addicted2Idiocy.

That's your best response? I'll take poor spelling if it at least has substance behind it. You are as simple as the coach you support.

Leave this board.

I assume you'll get banned pretty soon, for the 100th time.

seriously. TG is one of the best coaches on that staff and a good dude. not that the griz would be dumb enough to get rid of him but if they did, he'd be unemployed for about an hour...

would LOVE a guy like TG running our defense.

I didn't know the CATS had a defense to run......

Interesting reading back and seeing what the Griz faithful said about Ty before he became a Cat. Now of course he is the worst coach ever.
