Ty and Griz D

Interesting reading back and seeing what the Griz faithful said about Ty before he became a Cat. Now of course he is the worst coach ever.

Few are saying that. Most are saying it was inevitable. Stitt had to move on. Ty's defenses were good not great. Many argue they were good because of the talent he had...many argue they should have been great for the same reason.

Best situation for both parties. Most surprised he landed at state. Move down just seems weird.

It is a mixed bag on what Griz fans thought about TG....many people just did not post about the issues they had with him because dealing with the kool-aid drinkers wasn't worth it...

Honestly, not being a jerk here, but to honestly believe Bob Stitt doesn't praise Gregorak and the defense can only mean one of two things. 1. The OP has some weird agenda, and made up a complete lie to try and get some traction here on Egriz, or 2. He doesn't read a single bit of Griz football news, or watch or listen to a single Stitt interview. The guy has said: "We have a great defense" at least 100 times, if not more in the last 12 weeks. He has praised the defense, the D-coordinator and all of the defensive players in every single interview he's done this season.

The OP does have an agenda...an anti-Stitt agenda....

I don't know of anyone in the know who would argue that the defenses should have been better because of the great talent.

TG was a very good DC and getting better each year. You will see the difference next season.

TG was a very good DC and getting better each year. You will see the difference next season.

Can not wait for the "I told you so".....but I am not sure how TG would have done with what the Griz have returning on defense...don't see how any comparison can be made....

The fact that people believe and argue that the d is so much better than the o is proof Ty has to go. The Griz are 1 team as are champions. Ty tries to convince people otherwise because he has the inability to coach a dominant D with the best players available. It's easier to stop a team from scoring. Not the other way around as Ty would love everyone in Missoula to think.
Ty, leave Missoula and learn what you need to beat the NAIA before trying to come back an FCS head coach.

The D gave up 16 points and 316 yards of total offense, and held the Bison to 1 for 14 on 3d downconversions, which are the lowest of the season for NDSU.

This, despite the Bison starting drive 5 times in UM territory, on the 30, 32, 34, 45, and 47. NDSU got only 7 points from those 5 drives. The D was on the field for 40:36 minutes today.
