I remember the first time I watched the Griz play on the red field on a bigscreen, EWU was wearing all red and it was hard to follow them because they blended in so well, my eyes hurt so damn bad after that game it wasn't funny.

I don't think they ever wear all red anymore do they?

Current dead zone poll, what uniforms to wear...

All red 12..........39%
All black 14........45%
Red top Black pants 0
Black top Red pants 0
All white (if allowable) 5.....16%

Rules are you can vote no more than 5 times. Write in's include....

Ed Hardy Baggy pants with Joe Boxers showing.......14
Dale Earnhardt tank top with sideways Affliction Homey hat.....11

I thought you were bullshitting me so I had to check...you weren't. So I guess all red is still an option, I'll load up on Visine before Saturday just in case.

Interesting to see their online numbers...Dozy, 2 bots and 6 guests...wow.

Didn't the NCAA ban teams with colored surfaces from wearing uniforms that were all the same color as the field?

That's what I thought I read somewhere but maybe not, you would think they would know?

I wouldn't have a clue to be honest (same uniforms as turf) as it doesn't come in to play with the Griz but you have to remember the majority of the 9 posters on The Dead Zone think there is actually 12 players on the field at a time.

They did but the rule was overturned if I remember right

I'd much rather the game be on Root, but ESPN3 isn't that bad. All it takes is an HDMI cord and you can put it on a TV/monitor. Not exactly rocket science...

This. I haven't been understanding what all the trouble is getting what's on your PC/laptop monitor onto your TV screen. Its actually pretty simple, and the only questions that need to be asked are what outputs you have on the laptop, and what inputs you have on the TV.

If you don't already have one, upgrade your TV- just about anything you buy will have HDMI inputs. Most if not all laptops do as well. That's ALL it takes! HDMI is a medium that carries both video and sound simultaneously. Boom- done...

Even if you don't have HDMI in/outputs, you should have VGA in/outputs. I was doing this with VGA back in 2002 or before. The only difference, other than some video quality, is that VGA is video only-but there are several solutions for that: crank the speaks on the lapper; use RCA from the PC to the TV; connect external speakers to the laptop/PC.

I have actually moved to a smart TV complete w built-in wireless adapter AND browser. The browser's a bit clunky, but if you can get it to the ESPN3 site and get logged in, you're done. No wires, nothing. The TV communicates directly with your wireless router, or ethernet to the TV from the router if it's nearby. You just have to connect the adapter in the TV to the router one way or the other.

Fact is, there are several solutions available. If you don't want to try to get fancy and you can afford it, make sure both your TV and your laptop are both HDMI capable and you're done. This is the way we'll be increasingly accessing our sports and other content going forward, so just make the investment now and be done with it. Perfect timing too--you can pass it off as an early Christmas gift for the WHOLE fam! :thumb:

best explanation to date..........thanks cfallsgriz

i get espn3 on my computer but cannot get it through the tv using roku in cda because frontier communications does not have this agreement with them yet.
my computer is several years old and does not have an HDMI connection, to take your advice.

i am moving to big sky, mt next week and will be getting 3 rivers internet provider which supports the roku connection so i will be in luck for future espn3 games to view on tv.

all of the FCS playoff games are on espn3 saturday.....will be using the 4 screen option for the earlier games

Old computer... I assume it has a USB??? I had the same problem, and got a USB/HDMI Pc to TV Adapter at Radio Shack, brand is Auvio... Cost $45 I think... It worked fine, but my old laptop got real hot and shut down, so I didn't get too far...

I had to try, watching on the laptop is painful to me... Maybe it will work for you

yep.....it works fine but would like the bigger tv screen for this game......i want to be able to see the replays without interruptions...ie...rebuffering.
thanks for the tip.

According to my boss's wife, who works for charter, dint select the "watch now" option on espn3. Select the game you want directly, it might take a couple minutes, but should load
