TV for Eastern

Smellingsons said:
I am a directtv customer in Vermont that purchased gameplan at the beginning of the year for either the Wyoming or the ndsu game I can't remember. I am getting a little nervous because I am not seeing the game listed on the gameplan channels listed on my directtv or on espn's website. Are we sure that it is going to be on gameplan?
Thanks,
Did you buy the one weekend or the entire year?

Has anyone been having problems getting logged into the WatchESPN app? It's been telling me this:

"Apologize for the inconvenience. We are working on this issue. Please try logging back after 24 hours."

It's been saying this since Sunday...

Initially I was planning on just making it easy and ordering the GamePlan for the weekend. However, last night I fired up my laptop, got ESPN3 to work via my Charter internet and plugged it into my large HD TV via an HDMI cord. Picture quality was great, sound was great, and it didnt seem to be pausing at all as I watched several basketball games on it. Like others I could not get the game replays to pull up, but with the success I had last night ESPN3 is the route Im going to go with on Saturday.
Just be ready to switch to GamePlan if you have to. I was able to get just about anything else on ESPN3 but the Griz and Bobcat games wouldn't connect. The Server might have been overloaded. I believe you can start to log in to the game 20 minutes early. I waited until the exact time but you can be sure that I will be trying as early as possible.

I'm in Helena as well and have charter for my ISP. Even when I try to test it out and click the "Watch Now" button, it asks me to log in and still gives me the same message. :x

I try now and then, I've been getting that message for several months!

I guess I better check tonight, but are you just clicking on the ones only available on ESPN3, if you are clicking on anyone of them that is also on like ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, or ABC it will not allow you to. From my experience with it here in Helena is that you can only watch the games that are being exclusively shown only on ESPN3.

I will double check tonight and report back to you later.

I get that also on the tablet where you have to download an app.

If I just go to the ESPN website on my laptop I can watch ESPN3 with no problem.

As near as I can tell, watchespn and ESPN3 are 2 different animals. Charter does not support the watchespn app in MT, WY, CO - according to the Charter website. What I'm confused about, amongst many things, is if you run down to Best Buy and buy chromecast/apple tv, roku, etc - are you then trying to stream espn3, or are you trying to run the watchespn app.?

This morning I went to the ESPN website and watched canadian curling on ESPN3 - great HD picture. Yesterday I watched an ESPN3 replay of the MSU/SDSU game - it was horrible picture quality. My Internet tests out something around 23 Mbps.

I have Midcontinent Communications in South Dakota but I am able to watch ESPN3 online and use the watch espn app both with great quality for both live events and replay.

I plan on logging in early, testing the connection of the early games then logging into the Griz game when possible. You say you tried logging in right at game time? How long did it take you to get a clear picture?

Never did. The twirly thing went around and around. I switched to really ugly SD GamePlan but it was better than nothing (but cost me $27).

This whole thing is FRICKEN STUPID!!!!!! :bs:
Go here push that open your mouth lift your left leg, pat your tummy and hum and you should be able to get it, WTF.
There needs to be some direct communication from the Bigsky if not all FCS conferences that this ESPN3 crap sucks. If they simply won't put it on regular TV broadcasting then sell the damn rights to a local affiliate so they can show the games to the ones that are going to watch the damn thing anyway. They need to put this in the works right after this season is over so this shit does not happen again next year or for however long ESPN has the rights.

No, No, No... That would make sense, which would help to screw up the unnatural order of the way things don't work, which would be utter rediculousocity

I'm confused. I don't watch much TV. I have Centurylink internet. Is there no way to simply get ESPN3 on Charter cable? Pay-per-view?

With Charter cable you can order ESPN GAME PLAN for the day. But the only way to get ESPN3 on charter is you have to have their internet.

Everything will go completely bonkers when the cameras focus on that horrible red field.

Wear your maroon colored glasses to watch and it offsets. It will look fine when the camera pans out as the seconds click down in the 4th quarter and the Griz fans are all that remain in the stands because the scoreboard reads.....

EWU 27
UM 38

I remember the first time I watched the Griz play on the red field on a bigscreen, EWU was wearing all red and it was hard to follow them because they blended in so well, my eyes hurt so damn bad after that game it wasn't funny.

I don't think they ever wear all red anymore do they?
