If you think Johnson was happy with his 40 time, that you truly are an idiot.

guess tru doesn't know as much about tru as player knows about tru. what else is new? :thumb:

I'm sure he was happy about it. Obviously he could of done better though if he was going 75%.

He said he was happy with his "4.50 unofficial" 40 time. Did you even bother to look/listen to the video?

You are such an idiot, iltc. Yes, happy with 4.50. By the way, do you think I don't know Tru and talk with him from time to time?

Here's the quote from your article where true says he felt his 40 times were "good" both officially and unofficially...despite what others want you to believe.

I believe I ran a good time at the Combine. Unofficial, 4.50; official, 4.62. For my size, I think that's good. All the drills went smoothly. I had fun out there.

PR, you should do some reading about one's ego. It would probably do you wonders in your unbelievable, rad, outrageous and awesome lifestyle!!

Nope, he didn't say he was pleased or happy with his official 40 time. He said he "ran a good time" at the combine. Then he stated his times in the 40 and said "all the drills went smoothly". There is a big difference between 4.50 and 4.62 for a corner. The good news is that the teams that clocked him officially at 4.50 or so put more stalk into their own unofficial times.

It's easy to be confident when josting or competing with the idiot Bobcat posters on the this board.

Tru will play safety in the NFL. I have said this for two years. He does have the hips to play CB, nor the speed. Watch it happen.

Thank you for proving the point.

more name calling. strange. this is great stuff though PR. thanks for the laugh this morning. gotta say...you're consistent. let's just say i'm an idiot for thinking tru was happy that he ran a good 40 time.....but he's the biggest moron ever for thinking it was good.

just outstanding.

by the way.....why would a player invited to the combine EVER compete in a pro day? :o

Come on. You're killing me here. Someone would only participate in a pro day if they have something else to prove that they didn't at the combine. I read the same thread you did and you're making yourself look like an idiot just to spite PR. If you're gonna be dumb, at least be funny.

Another comment about Tru, this time stating he was happy with his times at the NFL combine, which probably why he declined to run at Pro Day yesterday. Obviously someone is not the "idiot" that our local know-it-all believes him to be.

Trumaine Johnson, who was at the NFL combine with McSurdy, was happy with his marks in Indianapolis but still took part in position drills Thursday. The 6-foot-3 cornerback had plenty of work.

“They want to see change of direction, and a lot of hip turns, and staying low,” said the three-time all-Big Sky performer, who chased and hauled in passes thrown by Griz alum Cole Bergquist. “Me being so big, they wanted to see how it went. I think it went well.

“Some other scouts brought me aside and did some individual workouts, and so that was good – a lot of individual attention.”

Don't agree. Tru is a cover corner who's strengths are in press and shadow coverage. He has very good hips and fluidity for his size and has good ball skills. He doesn't have great speed, but if he did, he would be a first rounder instead of a 2nd or 3rd rounder. When you have a guy with his size and his fluidity and skill that's a weapon and he could have a long career as a press corner in the NFL. A lot of people think moving from corner to safety isn't a tough transition, but it can be for a lot of players. Tru hasn't proven he can make an open field tackle other than a swing route and he's never had to zone cover the middle of the field. Not saying Tru can't or won't be a safety, but most people just look at his size and 40 time and don't access his real strengths.

I think the perfect role for Tru would be the role that Charles Woodson plays in Green Bay. He's able to play physical, flex out to defend who he wants...it's like a hybrid CB/S role...Tru would do great in it IMO.

Charles Woodson, who beat out Peyton Manning for the heisman trophy? That charles woodson?

I never said Trumaine was on the same level as Woodson, that would be a ridiculous statement. I just meant that I could see him succeeding in the same role as what Woodson plays...reading comprehension my friend. I know you're a better poster than that.
