Majority of thread posters obviously have no credibility unless they agree with PR.

I love how you keep on calling me a Montana State graduate (truth) but continue to ignore that I'll also graduate from UM. You may continue to diss on my education but I'm proud of where I went to school and what I've done. After this I'm done arguing with you, it doesn't help the board and you refuse to admit when you're wrong. Keep on trying to stalk me and find out who I am though, I do find that amusing.

Actually, I have not spent one second trying to find out who you are, other than probing with some posts on egriz. You then volunteered the information, including that you went to MSU. If you are challenging me to find out, I will figure it out as soon as I return from the ncaa's.

Loyalty to sports teams generally follows one's undergrad, not one's grad school. I spotted you as a Cat fan in one of the first posts I noticed of yours.

Play-A Rape stalks everyone. He is a psychotic sicko, and a disgrace to Griz Nation. I have had at least 3 people from Missoula tell me that he goes around town trying nto find out information about me. He found out where my daughter worked (a UM college kid), and dropped that little dittie on the board. He is truly in need of a good shrink.

You posted that your daughter worked with a certain former Griz. I am friends with the former Griz and know where he works. Wow, that is some kind of stalking. You brag about yourself all the time, and a few things you say are true. Your Linkedin profile has been linked on egriz. Wow, opening a link on egriz is some kind of stalking.

Nice spin try. You stalk me all over Missoula. I have been told that by several people. You are always trying to get "information" about me, as well as about Alpha, and several other posters on here that you obsess about.

Nope, not true. And you obsess about yourself.

He never once said Tru = Woodson. He said the position/role that would fit well for Tru is the position/role that Woodson plays now, CB/S Hybrid. Every rational poster understood what he meant/wrote. Why can't you? :?

For what it's worth, I also understood this as saying Tru would fit well in the role that woodson plays, not comparing Tru to Woodson nor saying Tru = Woodson.
100% with you chris...i was shocked to see what PR said, he is on the money most the time!!! not sure where this one came from

And I was on the money on this one too. You need to step back from the one sentence PT keeps bringing up, and consider the big picture. There was no reason for PT to invoke the name of Woodson for the reasons he did. Woodson is a versatile corner and one of the best of all time. He does it all. To say that Johnson could be used to rush the qb, etc. like Woodson was not necessary or helpful. Woodson does everything: cover, ball-hawk/interceptions, run stopper, rush the qb, and play in multiple positions/formations. It was misleading to invoke Woodson's name, and compare to his ability, in trying to make the narrow point about what Johnson could be used for. Why not just say that Johnson could be used to rush the qb, etc. Why even mention Woodson? Why not compare Johnson to Jimmy Wilson. Wilson was used by the Dolphins to rush the qb, play in nickel and stop the run. This would have been a much better comparison. Also, to suggest that Woodson was only a role player, and that he doesn't still have terrific speed, was just plain wrong. My comparison of Cherry to Magic Johnson, as I did, was a ridiculous as PT's comparison.

Also, PT is a dink, in my view. It comes from him being a Bobcat. He has likes to pick at what I say, for no reason other than to pick. This comes from my having pointed out some of the dumb things he's said.

l like your posts too, Becker.

something tells me had someone besides PT said this exact same sentence, it would have been interpreted differently. :coffee:

"I think he respects Rod [Charles] Woodson. I think he would love that role, being able to blitz. A big tall guy like that coming off the edge, and then all of the sudden in press coverage on the slot guy. Sometimes if he is going to match, the slot guy may be the guy inside anyway. It’s exciting."

Here's a rundown of the different things Woodson did in those two games:

* Blitz from the slot.
* Cover the slot receiver.
* Line up like a linebacker and play the run.
* Line up like a safety, read the play and get to the ball.
* Line up as a safety and blitz the quarterback.
* Line up at the line of scrimmage and play the run.
* Line up as a linebacker and spy the quarterback.
* Blitz up the middle.
* Cover the tight end.
* Line up outside and cover a wide receiver.
* Pick up the running back out of the backfield.

Woodson lined up in the slot on over 53 percent of his defensive snaps last year. He lined up out wide on about 37 percent of the snaps. And Woodson was used in some other role (safety, linebacker) on the other 10 percent of his plays.

Woodson isn't a role player but he plays many different "roles". When he started out in the NFL he was viewed as strictly a shut down cover corner (one of the best ever). Once he came to Green Bay they talked about switching him to safety but decided to just play him as a rover. One play he will be covering the best WR on the outside, next play blitzing from a LB position, next play covering the slot receiver. Tru could play the "role" that Woodson plays now. Being a rover all over the field and not just a shut down corner. Tru is nowhere near the player that Woodson is or was. Not many are. But he can still do a lot of the things that Woodson does on the football field.

The lead character in a movie/play plays a role but isn't considered a role player.

Interpretation might have been the same, but I wouldn't have commented. I rarely comment on things said by my friends and the posters I like, or the quiet ones, even if I think the comment is offbase. PT was already picking at me in this thread, so I was ready to jump. If the Griz win, do you want my Saturday ticket again?

Gee, can I be your friend??? Pretty Puh-leasssssse? I realize that I might have to stand in line. I just can't take any more criticisms for my offbased comments!!!

Champ Bailey would be a good mentor for Tru. Denver would be a good spot for him.

I believe Tru has probably elevated his stock. However, I think he had to absolutly knock it out of the park to be considered a 1st round or even a 2nd round prospect. His 40 time is good for his size, but just "good" isn't going to bump you up to the 1st round when you are an FCS prospect. I'd say 2nd round at best probably 3rd, worst case 4th. Small school guys are looked at as a risk for NFL teams. As dominant as Tru was, he did do it against lesser competition and he does have questions about his character (fair or not, they are out there). Watching the video, I think he interviewed well and it appears he has been working hard and is motivated, but I will be very surprised if a team takes a chance on him in the 1st round. Regardless, I'll be rooting for him and it will be good to see another Grizzly in the League.

That’s an interesting analysis.

Almost every draft expert has Tru graded higher than you do. At this point, the lowest I have seen him in a mock draft is around 60 overall, which is second round.

Todd McShay and Mike Mayock (NFL network draft analysts) have him as the 3rd or 4th corner off the board, and Mayock has him as a first round “grade”. He commented yesterday that Tru may be the overall most physically gifted DB on the board.

Not saying you are wrong on your prediction, just saying most of the draft "experts" don't agree with you.

McShay now has Tru as going at #59 to the Packers in the 2nd round.

http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draf...12-nfl-mock-draft-projecting-first-two-rounds

And Kiper does NOT have him in his top 5 CBs now. He has Claiborne, Kirkpatrick, Gilmore, Jenkins, and Bentley

I've heard some teams have him listed as high as the second round on their boards, but one never knows. As for his 40 time, most of the teams had his 40 time in the 4.50 - 4.52 range on their clocks, obviously better than the official combine time. This is the reason he didn't run again. 4.50 seems like a good time for him. There's no way he's not faster than 4.61, or whatever the official time was.

Just another mock draft to post. Yay.

He's projected to go 75th in the 3rd to Seattle.

http://network.yardbarker.com/nfl/article_external/backyard/charlie_campbells_2012_nfl_mock_draft/10461835?refmod=backyard" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

he looked like a better fit at safety because of some tightness in his hips

Heard on Jim Rome today that Claiborne only scored a 4 on the wonderlic

BUT its known Clainborne couldn't read coming out of high school. If you can't read you will do poorly on a wonderlic. LSU had an awfully complicated defense. The kid has learned to compensate and use every tool available to get by....... Doubt it'll effect his chances much.
