Different types of HS players.
Huestis was mostly a post with up to 15 foot jumper in HS. He was quick but rarely handled the ball, good position rebounder and interior defender.
Tres is a slasher in HS. Plays more outside on defense, often covered (and effectively) the opposing point guard and top of key in trapping half court defense. He drives from wing and shoots both mid-range and 3 well. Rebounding numbers are very good but he probably relies on athleticism more than strong fundamentals for his boards.
From what I saw of Huestis in college (not that much) he developed more of Tres' slashing game and better exterior defense. But that never really became his game. Good offensive and defensive rebounder, effective scorer up to 15 feet but not a slashing driver nor 3 point shooter.
Tres certainly has room for improvement in many parts of his game. I think his offensive skills are superior to Huestis' in HS. He will work hard to continue to get stronger and become a more fundamentally sound interior player both offensively and defensively.
