TG trying to poach our recruits

When Craig Bohl left NDSU, he had to sign a contractual agreement that he would leave the NDSU recruits alone and not contact them to try and get them to WY. This kind of thing is frowned upon.

Based on what's in the below link, I don't think what you said is accurate. Unless the agreement you mention was required/signed after the stuff in this link was written. Anyway, it looks like Bohl was recruiting NDSU recruits for Wyo. after he accepted the Wyo. job but before he left NDSU.

True but honestly I would not care. This happens every year in college football gentlemen. If Gavin believes in the program, coaches, and school, the kid will make the right decision for himself. Cheers to Gavin for sticking with his commitment. Be confident HookedonGriz! Your a Griz fan for God sakes. Start acting like it! 8-)

I like your contributions to our board, but now you ARE acting like a cat fan - accepting mediocrity and all. This SHOULD piss reasonable fans off in my opinion.

Because I'm telling you guys to be confident in your schools ability to hold onto recruits? And cmon I was joking on the last part with HookedonGriz. If you guys hired Kane Ioane from us and then he took Bobcat commits with him to Missoula, you guys would not bat an eye. Guaranteed. .....and I expect responses to this like, "Why would we want Bobcat commits?" "Why would we want mediocre coaches?"

You're right...we would laugh about it. But, it sure as hell should piss you off. It's a rivalry. The fact that you say it wouldn't bother you...is strange to me.

What pisses me off at times is when Griz fans say they are the best program in the nation and then they are worried about recruits leaving their program, thinking that a former coach may steal a recruit. If you think you are the best, then this should not be an issue right? Why would the kid want to decommit? Don't worry I'm plenty competitive about my school and I keep track on just how our recruits do each year. I also like to keep track of Montana's recruits. Why? Because I am competitive about the rivalry. However, I'm with you guys. There should be a rule on poaching kids who are already committed. It should be frowned upon.

Maybe TG realizes, now, that his dream of becoming the next Griz HC was a pipe dream. Nothing left to lose, so let's f*ck the Griz. If there was ANY chance of that happening prior to his poaching attempt, his chances are now zero, or less.

Don't think there aren't fifteen teams reaching out to guys like Jackson with offers right now. All's fair... Kids will do the right thing for themselves, and it happens all the time. That said, anyone who thinks Gregorak will be back on the sidelines in maroon in Zootown in your lifetimes is delusional. He's gone, just like big-game Bobby.

Ethics in college football is an oxymoron.

Coaches all fish out of the same pond.

The kids are all in play until signing day. Just ask Dalton Daum!

So what's Ty's pitch? "Everything I told you about the Grizzlies is bullshit"??? "The only thing in Cat land is championship after championship"?? "I know you really only want to play for me?" (the Cramsey gambit).

Not worried, but it gives us a chance to have fun at the Cat's expense.

Anyway, you guys aren't going to lose any recruits. They all want to be Grizzlies. It is evident on social media. This is all just January Recruiting Paranoia if you ask me.

It is the act itself that breaches the ethics set in the business. Whether all stay committed or not is irrelevant to the the breach. I am embarrassed for this staff. But, it is common to look the other way and let others do the dirty work for your gain - though like you say, it likely will only end up being TG and co throwing away their integrity.

One thing I wonder, if they can do a computer forensics and see if TG copied company files before he left. If so, needs to be terminated from the Montana University System he stole from and is re-employed by.

Don't you already do that every November?...SEE I can make jokes about my own team...

Why would that vim you off? Seriously, why would you get vimmed off by what griz fans say and worry about, which has nothing to do with your vim-poor program? Isn't that the definition of lil bro syndrome?

My guess it is similar to the pitch his friends on this board have given repeatedly. I could be true, it could not. Something along the lines of the Griz don't care about defense, that isn't where the priority is, that is going downhill and that is why I left.

Or, you can play for the Cats right away, because the defense and offense suck.

Missed the point. I'm saying most of the Griz fans I am close to would not even worry about losing a recruit because they believe in their school and program. My rant was a bit off the OP but just saying in general. Worrying about losing a recruit to lil bro is, in fact, lil bro syndrome.

I honestly dont really care about this...if I'm a coach and get a kid to verbal to playing for me...and I go to another school where I think he could be helpful to me still...damn right im gonna call him and ask him if he wants to come play for me......

In this kids case it would just make it much more embarassing for whomever does switch when we beat their ass annually for the next 4 years.

There should be a guitar slide after everyone of your posts. I would enjoy that. See guys this is the Griz confidence I was talking about! God bless Badlands.

Ty, do you realize you are digging yourself a hole and burning bridges by trying to steal already committed recruits here? Kiss goodbye to ever being the GRIZ HC.
