Also trying to get Tyrone Lewis-Kidd (msu Offered 3 days ago).

Who has had a offer from Montana for about 3 months.

And Tanner Hawthorne...

So if a kid has an offer from UM, no other school can offer him?

Once you are offered by UofM, only Alabama is a better offer...maybe :thumb:

Here's a scenario to put it in perspective....

Kane Iaone leaves cats to coach at Griz. He starts calling Bobcat recruits who have already verbaled and tries to get them to switch over to the Griz instead. Bob cat fans would have a meltdown over this. So save yourself from trying to minimize the situation

Not the same thing as the Crow situation.

Griz fans have loooooong memories. Someone should remind TG. Remnants of the bridge are in flames.

I don't now what is considered kosher or not, but doesn't this happen all the time? Hauck got one or more UM commits/recruits to go to UNLV. Peterson got some Boise St commits to go to UW, including the Bozeman kid.

Do you approve of TG pursuing Crow - who verballed to the Griz?

I also don't know what the etiquette is, but it just doesn't sit well with me.

True but honestly I would not care. This happens every year in college football gentlemen. If Gavin believes in the program, coaches, and school, the kid will make the right decision for himself. Cheers to Gavin for sticking with his commitment. Be confident HookedonGriz! Your a Griz fan for God sakes. Start acting like it! 8-)

No anyone can offer him... but if you move to another school (ANY OTHER SCHOOL) it is believed my most if not all coaches, that you leave the previous recruits alone. Trust me, when word gets out to other coaches TG will be looked at poorly and it will make it harder for him to find another job.

And so the cats can understand, it would not matter if he went to Southern Utah, Idaho state or Alabama the same is true.

IE Its not a Griz Cat thing.

Agreed. But again Kane Ioane was recruiting Gavin all of last season, not just after his commitment to the Griz.

I like your contributions to our board, but now you ARE acting like a cat fan - accepting mediocrity and all. This SHOULD piss reasonable fans off in my opinion.

Not because a coach moved...

and in same conference....hence why conferences will release players from commitments as long as they do not transfer within the conference.

Because I'm telling you guys to be confident in your schools ability to hold onto recruits? And cmon I was joking on the last part with HookedonGriz. If you guys hired Kane Ioane from us and then he took Bobcat commits with him to Missoula, you guys would not bat an eye. Guaranteed. .....and I expect responses to this like, "Why would we want Bobcat commits?" "Why would we want mediocre coaches?"

Anyway, you guys aren't going to lose any recruits. They all want to be Grizzlies. It is evident on social media. This is all just January Recruiting Paranoia if you ask me.

When Craig Bohl left NDSU, he had to sign a contractual agreement that he would leave the NDSU recruits alone and not contact them to try and get them to WY. This kind of thing is frowned upon.

You're right...we would laugh about it. But, it sure as hell should piss you off. It's a rivalry. The fact that you say it wouldn't bother you...is strange to me.

In my business we have a thing called ethics. I try to get customers to use my company instead of a competitor all the time. But if I left my company and went to a competitor I am not allowed to take the clients I gained at my previous company to my new company. I leave them alone and start new. A type of non compete clause.

So if Crow said Iaone had been recruiting him and he decided to be a bobcat I wouldn't have an issue with it. (would still suck to lose a recruit) But Crow is stating that TG is using his contact while he was a Griz coach to bring him to the cats. I do have an issue with that. And of course it amplifies everything because he went to our instate rival.
