Stock in Gragg, Gregorak as future HC just went up !!!

Oh, and the bs about us not getting the best of montana recruits is perpetuated by Monte. Not me. I have only two words for the folks that want all new blood just cause the grass must be greener: Pat Kennedy.

Buttegrizzle, I don't think anyone is saying that all new blood is necessary. What people are saying is that they don't believe anyone on the current staff is the answer as the head coach.

Actually, people are saying both, or one or the other. How do you explain Delaney providing his full support to Gregorak, if Gregorak isn't ready?

Better question, how would you see it if MD did not support one of his coordinators?

I would think he didn't think they were good enough or ready. Departing coaches often don't support anyone on their staff.

Sure they don't...

Muddied waters. Coaches that are moving, not just retiring, usually take their best assistants with them. Long-time coaches that retire usually have a protege they push.

I could see TG having a lot of support....not SG. SG needs to becareful how he speaks about other coaches behind their backs (words travel in the coaching community)....personally if no exceptional outside applicants come up, I hope TG gets it.

Most coaches don't leave voluntarily.

Boy, I'm not sure I'd agree with that one. Wouldn't that be like them basically admitting they did a crappy of hiring their own staff?

Of course MD is going to support his family tree of assistants as he rides off into the sunset of golf courses. Good for Mick! Enjoy every par 4 to the max. However, we were dog sh!t against winning teams the past 3 years. No, we are counting every f.....g game for merit in the total summary. We have been talking about this for years. A young, bright, talented mind ready to blow up the FCS. Don't lose your focus after one victory over our weak rival. Michigan was biased a couple of years ago in their hire of Brady Hoke. They erected the hurdle that their hire had to be a "Michigan Man". (past ties to the program for you slugs out there) Even with a bevy of top 10 recruiting classes for years, they can't do sh!t now. They couldn't develop a quarterback, a terminator for any program. Stay the course and get the best available prospect out there... :egriz:

But ... was Delaney ready to be HC? I'm still not real sure about that.

Get the entire crew OUT of there. I think we've seen enough of this shit show. And it keeps happening over and over. Wow, they dominated one god damn game in 3 years. Whoopy shit. Get them out out there!! What, do you think it all just turned on like a magic light bulb? Please...

The cool thing is that Kent Haslam doesn't care what is said on egriz. He'll get a first rate coach and we will second guess the poor bastard until he wins at least 4consecutive NCs and even then the bitching will never stop!

 If Bill Belicheck himself came to coach here people would still talk shit about him.

Cat fans would be happy. Stealing plays and cheating could very well be true. :thumb:

We have some good young coaches. Maybe one of them will be the best candidate for head coach available. Or, in the the future. However, if you are the athletic director at any other FCS school with a vacancy and you looked at the record of experience and success on the resumes of our coaches, I would be surprised if any would make the first cut. Just two weeks ago we were in 6th place in our conference (you'll go back to the beginning of the Big Sky to match that) We had to play the best game that we've played in the past two years just to make an expanded 24 team playoff field. We've helped other teams set records--ND most yards passing, Cal Poly most yards rushing. We have fewer wins than last year when we were unprepared and upset by Coastal Carolina. We will have the finest facilities and best fan support in our division. Remember just a few short years ago we awaited the first poll of the year to see if we'd be number 1 rather than top 15. Let's take a deep breath and get through the next couple games and see who might be available before we turn the keys to our Ford over to the local popular guy.
