Hmm. Not sure I follow. Choate returns a QB that went 9-3 as a starter including a Brawl and two playoff wins.

#ClassicChoach moving the guy to returner.

Silly cat. I should have know it would be impossible for you to see fault in Choach (or understand simple humor). Let’s see if we can help each other through this trying time.
How many years has Choach been the head choach at Bozeman State College?
Can you name the opening day starting QB for each of those seasons?
Are any of those QBs you just named the same person?
And now you’re here bragging up some new guy?
So, simultaneously, you are implying the bubcats are preseason champs and their backups are better than their starters!
Thank goodness things are finally starting to return to normal.

So, how do our season tickets work for just 3 home games? Many of us forwarded our payments into the next season, which would hopefully be a “real “ fall season.

Spring tickets will be sold seperately. Your deferred tickets will be applied to the Fall 2021 season.

Which Bobcat QB ever went 4-0 against UM? Compson?

Dennis Erickson

Damn. Could've sworn it was Compson.

EDIT: Hold up. Wiki says Denise was a QB at MSU from 1966-1968. I get that some things can be lost with the passage of time when they were originally written by quill and ink, but something seems fishy with this four straight wins against UM business.

Just to be clear, Choate QB's are 4-0 against UM.

Not sure if Erickson played in 4 UM games, but SACCAT would know. Compson was on my intermural basketball team, and I don't remember winning 4 straight there either. Maybe too much time has passed to be sure.

Thanks for proving my point, dumbass! Can you not read? Is that why all railroad signs use symbols instead of words? Engineers can’t fucking read?

The axilla olfactory examiners in the picture have the same retention/turnover rate as Choach for his primary position.

Same for the loxodonta rectal inspector.

For some reason, none of them return for the second year. Wonder why?

 Gawd I missed you guys, and I never even got past the word loxodonta. :) This post prompted me to go ahead and cork a decent bottle of red. Probably not the real good stuff CDA drinks, but it will do.

Not sure Prukop leaving had anything to do with Choate, but I really doubt it. I think he was moving out for his last year regardless of the coaching change, but that certainly left the cupboard bare from Ash. Choate did what he could with Tyler Bruggman, but the Ash recruit never materialized. Next thing you know, he’s starting a 17-year-old true freshman. Again, hard to blame Choate up to this point in the job, although that kid was still good enough to beat the UM while only completing two passes.

Here’s who Choate thought he was getting when he took the job:

Year two on the job: recruits the Idaho 5A Player of the Year, the aforementioned Tucker Rovig. Rovig redshirts his first year, limited playing time as a RS freshman, and then goes 9-3 as a starter with a Brawl and two playoff wins in his RS sophomore year. So, I ask you this, dear illustrious egriz poster: what exactly in Rovig’s trajectory leads you to believe Choate can’t develop a QB? Does Casey Bauman performance as a RS freshman write the full script of his career? Do you realize that the same QB beat UM in back to back years (2016 and 17), so the idea that Choate hasn't ever returned a QB is false? Are you saying it was a bad move for Choate to bring in Matt McKay? Speak your wisdom please.

*Old Spice board meeting.

CEO [goatee/beady eyes]: Why in the fuck can’t we close the gap?

VP of Sales [penis for face]: Well sir, I would like to note our axilla olfactory examiners are 4-0.

CEO: What!?! Holy shit, really? Wait. Are you saying all of my AOE’s are undefeated or one employee?

VP of Manufacturing: Neither, sir. What Dick was trying to say was that our AOE’s can detect odor initially but only long enough to establish a baseline. Then they bail. Our turnover has been brutal at that position.

CEO: But that’s like our most important position, isn’t it? What’s going on?

VP of HR: Yeah, it’s a conundrum. I can’t tell if it’s the Recruiting Department or a development issue? Turns out, people don’t like to smell the shit we’re selling.

CEO: Hey Marketing? What’s the Marketing guy’s name again? Bill? Bill, where can we find people who like to smell shit?

VP of Marketing: What do you think about advertising on Port-a-Potties?

CEO: Fucking. Brilliant!

Got it. I thought you were saying that a starting QB has won 4 straight against the Griz. I don’t think that has ever happened (which would stand to reason). I was kidding about Compson. I don’t think he won one.

I know you weren’t asking me anything, but holy shit, I remember all of those names, and how each was going to be the answer for MSU.

This post invalidates eGriz attitudes toward the Cats. C'mon Grizzzers, that's the reality, say whatever you want re: Choate. When the Griz start to produce, THEN claim some kind of superiority. Until then, posts like ABQ has answered are frivolous. As they say, "The proof is in the pudding." Stop embarrassing yourselves.

I'll be sure to check with you beforehand next time I think about busting balls with our Bobcat brethren. Simp.

How does one even embarrass themself on an anonymous CF message board? Hard to imagine; would probably take some effort.
Unless they were an octogenarian who logged in to ask why the center points, or to suggest the Mecca of FCS football install a dome to conceal the inherent, majestic beauty and natural elements. In that case, he/she would probably have to abandon their prior avatar and start over with a complete rebrand

Has anyone determined whether (a) Choach will start a new QB again this year, and/or (b) Dennis Erickson won four straight against the Griz?

I don't think Choate has announced a starter. I think Erickson only started three years so he beat the griz three times 66-68, not sure though.
