Spring schedule

So, how do our season tickets work for just 3 home games? Many of us forwarded our payments into the next season, which would hopefully be a “real “ fall season.

Season tickets advanced to fall 2021. Spring tickets are still TBD, it will depend on what Missoula Country decides to allow for attendance by Spring. I'd imagine a lottery for tickets or something similar if open to the public. But, I bet that it will be attendees or family of players only. W

Classless.....

Think about this scenario: Choach takes the team out for another run through the woods like last(?) season. They trek their way through the meadows and marshes carrying logs with Choach leading the way on his electric motocross bike. They make their way up the trail to the top of the mountain, high-fiving, huffing and puffing. It's a triumphant moment of team building that they will always remember. They've made it. They are now brothers. They see a hand hewn log cabin that wasn't there last(?) year. Choach knocks on the door, and who answers? It's Bobby MF-ing Hauck, who has been living atop the mountain in the log cabin that he built by hand that very same morning. The Bobcats slink away, Choach coasts down the hill on the e-bike (charges the batts), and rethinks the fall of Rome.

It haunts Choach. He attempts to make model cabins out of tongue depressors (because he can do it, too, dammit), but they keep falling apart because the glue his wife picked up from Michaels is for fabric. They get into a huge fight and Choach rides his e-bike (fully charged) back up the hill to ask Bobby MF-ing Hauck if he can crash there for a few days. BMFH takes him in, and the two become best friends. I'm not saying this happened two weeks ago, but I'm also not saying that it happened one week ago. Think about that, Cat.

You are mostly correct. McKell Bennett emailed me today, said the same, and that Spring games will be sold individually or as a 3-pack, but how many and distancing issues, # of fans will be decided with the powers that be.

This is great and reminds me of a song I overheard Choach singing while wondering around during calisthenics. He’s the authority on 80s pop and he’s always talking about “BYOE” (bring your own energy), so he tries to keep practice up-beat. It went something like this:

Ioane—ee plays the oboe
Listen to bravado, don't you remember?

Well Capacity shouldn't be an issue for two of those home games. that home schedule sucks other than MSU. Not excited for Cal Poly or Portland in Missoula. Hopefully the away games get televised somehow. Also Weber go the easy route to the championship. Looks Like Griz will have to sweep the schedule to make the playoffs

At least Cal Poly won’t be running the triple option and with Beau Baldwin now as our Head Coach I think this will make for at least a somewhat interesting game. I think he has to improve the roster to run his multiple offense, but I think in a few years the Cal Poly/Montana games will be a premier Big Sky match up.

Historically opponents who ran the TO faired well against Montana.

Understatement.

Montana was one of the first teams to run the triple option with the wishbone along with Texas. It was a devastating offense under the leadership of Jack Swarthout.

Not to North Dakota State.

Did they beat the wishbone? I don’t remember.

You mean did they stop the wishbone? I would say they did but there is a big reason for that.

Most of the problem is that Swarthout recruited a few Junior college transfers and many or all of them were not able to play in the Camelia Bowl. Always wondered if Griz had all the players eligible, the outcome would have been totally different. I think it would have. Right now, I forgot which plays that couldn't play. I think a QB, maybe Gary Berding wasn't able to play. Not sure if Les Kent or Arnie Blancas was able to play. I guess if there is someone that remembers those seasons and Bowl games, may remember which players weren't able to play.

Also, have to mention, they tried a bit more passing in the 1970 Camelia Bowl. Introduced the long bomb. Never really worked. Griz scored only 3 points in 1969 and 16 points in 1970 Camelia Bowl.

I was at the '69 game. Not fun to watch.

I was there also and it was a long drive home in disappointment.

Those dummies. Saying Montana state has the toughest schedule. It’s obvious they have a very favorable schedule. I read it right here in this very thread! Who cares if they play #1, #2, #4 and #5? They obviously forgot what a powerhouse northern Colorado is....
