Spring football news, notes and rumors

Anybody have an updated roster from the scrimmage? I know we have 3 walkons 2 on defense and 1 on special teams that are not listed on the current roster one of the walkons I’m almost sure is Aiden Diggs from the track team, but unsure who the other guys are.

Not so hot; 60's RB Willie Jones was over 24' as I recall. He was also 9.4 in the 100 (yards).

That's a good foot short of the NAIA "B" qualifying standard, let alone their "A" standard. Hell Sulser jumped farther in high school than that (and he was only 4th in AA). Maybe football is his better choice....

FWIW, Diggs is a multi-event athlete training for the decathlon so he'll compete in a variety of events regardless of whether they are his strong ones.

Yes he is a decathlon dude. Why is it that some posters knit pic everything? Did any of you jump more then 10 feet ever in your life? And chasing a rolling ding dong doesn’t count

The athlete who finished 7th in last year’s ncaa decathlon jumped 21-7 3/4. So not a bad jump for the first outdoor meet.

Sneed and Humphrey look great. Accurate and crisp. No picks. Receivers look great. Caught everything. JLM and Akem look great. New JC rb looks very good. O-linemen are big. Maybe Beaver, Martin, Keintz. Janacaro has surprising speed. Vika at d-tackle, not first team. Egbo at corner. Peppenger make; Semenza bad miss (maybe hold problem). Matthews/52 playing at backer. 98/Gubner playing at d-end. Is big. Didn't notice Jace Lewis. Not many guys looking like they are injured. Spirited practice. Fast-paced. Plenty of butt chewing. Lots of hitting. Even qb's getting clobbered on occasion.

Not looking great as far as depth on the oline, Cody Meyer #50 has decided to hang up the cleats due to injury via Instagram.

"Great" definition: "of the extent, amount or intensity considerably above the normal or average"

Hope so!
