Hey Bluenoser? Did that link work for you? How about you Alpha? For those of you who want to criticize the team and coaches and ignore the facts, this officiating crew blew it big time and they need to be held responsible. I am not saying that the Final outcome was because of their incompetence but we can't simply ignore the fact that they messed up big time in a playoff game. They need to be held responsible. Period. We may have still lost that game regardless, but I don't think we should just turn a blind eye to the matter because some people on here have an agenda to tear down the very team and program that they claim to support and love.

Anyways, Coastal was the better team today but the officials should still be held accountable by the NCAA. I will be very upset if the Big Sky doesn't follow up on this.

Nobody blew the play dead and worse yet, I didn't even see anything even remotely disputable to review on Haynes catch. There were two refs right on top of the catch on that side of the field and neither hesitated to indicate it was a catch. AND after they confirmed it was a catch, they should have said the screen play to Canada still stood, as well, because it's not like a whistle or anything threw the defense off or gave them a disadvantage.

Now, one can't say for sure the Griz would have scored with 4 downs from the 3 but that doesn't change the fact that the refs didn't understand/follow the rule book.

I could forgive all the missed holding calls earlier in the game because those are judgement calls and the refs can't see everything but I really hope this gets spread around to the media outlets and these Southland officials have to find an occupation they are more qualified and competent in the new year.

You should be more pissed that they gave us a call when Henderson was clearly 3 or 4 yards out of bounds.

Where's the rule that says a page, not received or acted upon, stops or negates the next play.

The Griz AD AND CCU AD had a candid discussion with the head ref. In the ref locker room immediately following the game BOTH called BS on the call in question...head ref tried to blame it on some officials got.paged and some didn't.... problem was they brought the.head.IT guy down who had PROOF every ref got the page BC there is some sort of.page confirmation that occurs .....don't ask me specifics.on how system works ....others can explain who know....BUT...point is the head.ref. got.caught in a damn lie....lots happened before.game with this.particular.ref as well as after....if NCAA doesn't step in to quietly correct it...you will all hear further from UM and possibly CCU...both AD's were pissed and demanded to speak to head ref. In the ref locker room post game.....this guy will never ref in MT again if he ever refs anywhere again..

Out of curiosity, what else happened with this ref before the game and after?

I'm not one for conspiracy theories but... I don't find it coincidental that this big play blunder was paired with the fact that ccu only received 1 penalty(that the side judge had to call when the back judge had a clear view of the pi and still didn't throw the flag on the obvious pi) while montana suffered MANY penalties, many of which are extremely controversial. I'm not sure what exactly happened but the ref bias wasn't just the bad replay, it was the entire game.

And anyone who said "ccu was better get over it" has no idea what they're talking about because the refs took 7 points off our board( which was enough to tie) and the griz were way overly penalized whereas ccu wasnt. Ccu very well COULD have been better but we will never know as the refs had too much of a factor

And how about the multiple missed holding calls? Like the missed call when Tripp was clearly held while the qb/runner scrambled down the CC sideline for a 3d and long pick up? Tripp was outside of the blocker and would have easily make the tackle or pushed the runner out of bounds. Just a terrible missed call.

There were a lot of questionable calls that could go eithe way that constantly went in their favor. At no point in the game did I think our team caught a break... Where their team constantly did.

I didnt say that, they said they received a page when they were talking to people after the game. Take it up with them.
