Roderick is a Cat..

The point is that his first choice was Nevada - not MSU. All of the endless UM/MSU blather has been about who would get him on the rebound. The fact that TR generated more than 11,000 posts to date on three different threads would be terribly amusing - if it weren't so pathetic. Sometimes a frenzied egriz most resembles a cat chasing its tail...and in this case the cat won.

UM's priority is getting more speed. Looks like they've been doing that. Montana is obviously not the best place to recruit speed.

UM is getting alot of verbals from 17 and 18 year old kids. Don't think the 19 year old kid and 70 year old coach argument holds any water.

It does with Montana kids, perhaps not with out of state kids who don't even know where Montana is

What a dumb statement. Absolutely silly.

Actually, Delaney is well known, respected and liked by Montana kids. That's why he's been significantly involved with recruiting in MT for all the years he's been at UM.

The article called state a top-tier program.

I guess if BARELY winning a couple playoff games in a few years constitutes that then so be it.

Maybe, but right now it seems like he is the Bobcats' best recruiting tool.

I think it is pretty obvious that Delaney could not close the deal with this kid. A 70 year man can not relate to a 19 year old kid. That, not knowing who would be the head coach in 2014, what type of offense they would run, and any threat of possible NCAA sanctions closed the deal for this kid to play for the Scats.

The lame-duck status of our coaching staff is killing us with the Montana high school kids. It was a huge mistake allowing Delaney to come back next season. We could have been on our way to righting this ship, but it will not begin to happen for at least another year.

It worries me how close to the truth this all may be.

If the recruits feel that MSU is a top tier program then I am fine with that

Roderick is smart kid. He looked at everything from top to bottom and decided that he wanted to play for a team, in his words, "going in the right direction"! Sorry about losing out, but there are more fish in the sea, so to speak! :thumb:

Well, at least he has the word "direction" somewhere thereabouts; of course, if you're on the bottom looking up that too can be construed as a "direction" as well. :ugeek:

I shouldn't have to mention who is closer to that predicament.
