So when you were sitting with Gunner and his P's, what did ASH say? I would like to know? My 2nd cousin went to high school with him and they are really good friends. They both are over here in Bozeman at MSU. So tell me what you heard while you were sitting in that living room, AZ. Because, I will get it from the kid himself. But I'd like to hear what you remember.

Well my third cousin, twice removed (on my wife's side, by marriage) is next door neighbors to the guy who's married to the lady who cuts Gunnar Brekke's dad's hair....

It's a well known fact that Ash was out spewing bullshit about the Griz program trying to get every Montana kid to switch to MSU during the dark days of 2012. But, go ahead and blindly defend him.

OH, So you were not there? Well known facts? You're game is weak. It must suck not to have any real info. Put you're hat back on, the sun is making you think you know something. You don't know shit. OH, my 2nd cousin said to eat shit too. I wounder who that might be? Did I say I had one?

I obviously have know first hand knowledge of what was said by Ash to Brekke, but I do know this....Ash apparently had no problem when Brekke flipped to the cats, and no speeches were given then about the meaning of commitment, so why does he all of a sudden have a problem now?

Go see what Bobby P. did to a kid that gave a comtt in june to lou vill.

Hey phat scat, move your head simply look up and stop looking down!

It is a new day, the sun shines, the recruiting is all over and the wind is blowing! Lighten up kid and get a grip!

I have no prob with anything. It's not us "cats" or "griz" It's bigger players "FBS" coming in at the last minute and pulling kid's they only wanted because someone else said no. That's not love. That's a number filler.

Wow...13 pages of chatter about the Bobcats.
And none of it is positive. Again, don't flatter yourself. Your head coach is a walking punch line. (Or punching bag when it comes to recruiting against UM)

Ummmm....so? It's crappy, but what's that got to do with Ash?

My name is Rob Ash, thanks for having me here tonight! I want to talk to you about commitment. You see, I used to be the Head Coach for THE Montana State Bobcats, and I thought I could trust a bunch of pot smokin, beer drinkin punks when it came to commitment. Even though I preached about cleaning up he program ( second chances) and sat in living rooms to discuss the evils of the University to the west (Brekke) , I expected total honesty from 18 year old men. They would tell me they wanted to be Bobcats, but then must before having to sign on the dotted line they told me they were going someplace else. And I said, " Whoop-dee-frickin-doo, you're off to your fancy smancy school where they win games in November and beyond and I'm on a steady diet of government cheese and living in a van down by the Gallatin River!"

Yep. Good one.... So when you queef, does it smell? Because you seem like a c.nt to me.

this is a conversation that absolutely needs to happen. ash is as good as any coach to get the ball rolling. he was president of the a.f.c.a. and on the board for years. no one has an answer yet and there may not be one, but it's worth looking into. it doesn't seem difficult for a coach or player to inform the other party that they're no longer interested. we'll see, but there's no reason for anyone to be upset with ash over this. this can be a productive move and something that can improve a game we all love. it's more about the sport than any individuals.

getgrizzly, so ash was president of the a.f.c.a. and on the board for years and said nothing about this then, when he might have had the influence to do something about it, but waited until he lost now to say something? that makes no sense. apparently he only thinks its a good idea now...

If a person takes the messenger out and looks at the content of what was said I would hope we could agree that there is some truth in the statement.

does it matter? if he had said something last year or five years ago, would it make a difference? m.s.u. lost a guy at the last minute last year also. maybe it's happened other times and this just happens to be the straw that broke the camels back. the point is that both parties, teams and players, are being negatively affected. everyone should want it looked into.

I've yet to hear a Dean of Students, Dean of a college field of study, University President or Registrar publicly whine when a full ride scholastic offer is accepted and then rejected when a bigger, better school comes knocking. Guess Ashhat thinks football players are second class citizens who should not have academic freedom. Hey Robespierre, do better at your job and you won't have as many defections. This ain't on the recruits, and shame on you for trying to put it there.

it happens to both sides, players/coaches. people should actually watch the video where ash talks about this.

It's fine if a kid committed months ago and gets his offer pulled the week before signing day. It's also fine if a kid verbals and then switches his commitment just days before signing day without informing the school he committed to. Sounds like a great system.

75, we've almost all agreed with that. It's hardly news to anyone that the system sucks. It's not as if Ron Ash had brought forth some huge revelation. We agree -- and have known for years -- the system is in need of change.

What we question is both the timing of and motive behind Ron's statements.

Hyperbole always offers the straw man argument that substitutes for reality. It makes the whole issue soooo clear.

In the larger view, the kids presumably end up going to the schools they want to attend. The schools end up with the kids that want to go there. In, what, 95% of the cases, those are the original commits. In the remaining 5%, the kids end up where they want to be.

Pure evil, isn't it? Oh, ooops, there's that hyperbole ....

What is it called to take quotes from message board postings to fit ones argument ?
