It's kind of sad watching football today knowing that we won't get to watch our Griz for another 2 weeks.

My FCS team of the day would go to Nicholls State Defense. Holding that video game offense to 6 points was impressive and they should have put up 21 points on the UIW offense by themselves. I didn't see any of Idaho State's offense, but them putting up 31 on UNLV was not as unexpected as what happened to UIW believing their preseason accolades and getting their butts handed to them.

I’ve watched the last 4 minutes of the first half and he has taken about 3 or 4 big hits in just that short time. He won’t be around long if that continues. He better learn to avoid them. Shots on the quarterback eventually means too much time in the training room or walking on the sideline in street clothes.

Agreed, I turned to it from SHSU and WKU right when he took the shot to the hip on the sideline. That hurt my parts!

Defense isn't so bad either. Held Mercer to less than a 100 yards for the half: 93 P, 2 R.
That's a bold prediction. I am on the record saying the cats would lose two of the games against ISU, NAU, UM, UCD and SDSU. With ISU being the scariest of the trams. I knew Hawkins would continue to improve the Bengals. My question for them is how will their oline look this year after a complete rebuild and how will their defense look as they transition between the 3-3 front to a 4-3 and a new coordinator. The online looked amazing in their straight up blocking against UNLV in all those draw plays. The defense did not impress me. However if they can even play at a servicable level they are going to beat a lot of teams the way they put up points.

If Davis hasn't moved up to FBS by then. In a recent interview the MWC Commissioner said they Didn't add football/FCS for all sports because they were waiting on the NCAA ruling. With things being cleared up/worked on there's a good chance they will be gone before then.

Slim chance of jumping straight to the MWC. Name a team that has jumped from the FCS/I-AA to that tier of conference. Even with what they are going to be left with, history says you have to go through the Sun Belt, C-USA, American or MAC. C-USA was up there at one point, but not any longer. IMO it's the MWC And PAC that are on the upper edge of the G6 where you need to spend some time in the proving ground before you jump, which is the path Boise had to follow.
If the MWC and PAC don't want Sac, they have no interest at all in Davis. First and foremost, the UC Davis stadium is too small for them to qualify to move up, period. It would take them a few years to address that by itself.

Not really. Griz don’t even play them. Problem for the Cant’s maybe. Play Davis and then hit the road for Zoo Town. Once again, BSC scheduling stinks because of the # of teams. Really sad that Davis and the Griz won’t meet in 2025.

I’d rather have Idaho than Davis, but it is a shame we don’t get them. Tim is doing a good job. Maybe we will catch them in the playoffs.
Still a big deal for the big sky championship in my opinion and also I was saying it because it was looking good for the big sky conference in general
