Ready For Some Football?

Let's not freak out and give way more credit than it deserves now. This is UNLV after all, the same UNLV that lost to Eastern in 2019 and has been a doormat in the MWC until recently. We knew ISU had an offense, but they still don't have much defense. I didn't see any of the game, but I wouldn't call them a threat until we see them play a little more. They can just as easily lay an egg in Albuquerque a couple of weeks from now and that would not be impressive.
 
Bummer for ISU. Their offense played well enough to win but the same problem still preludes them and that’s their defense. Their D has been terrible my entire life and that’s what will prevent them from taking the next step. Their offense is gonna have to perform like vintage Eastern all year if they wanna go anywhere.

I thought their front looked strong, they put a lot of pressure on unlv all game but got gassed with those late picks and im sure depth just wasn't their

Yep, the Davis D is stuffing Mercer (-15 rushing as of now). Their O is workmanlike and marched right down the field (did have to make a 4th and short). Over 150 yards so far, with good balance (80 P, 71 R).
