Graves was an elite qb in high school...he should be reconsidered

Really. You want a guy that has already changed position to move back because he was "elite" in high school to compete with others again that also had success in high school, that didn't change position? Seems logical.

Seriously. If we’re going to consider players who were “elite” in HS, why not Rostad? I mean at least he JUST switched positions…..not 3 YEARS ago… (and no, I’m not advocating for Rostad to be given a shot at QB).
Like you said in an earlier post, HHB, the QB who takes the majority of the snaps next year didn’t take a single snap this year for the Griz.

That’s exactly who I see when Brown’s in the game. Exactly. Just a slightly better runner.
And it’s not a flattering comparison.
Yeah, so were Rostad and Bergen. QB at this level is a different ballgame.grizzlygrumpa said:Graves was an elite qb in high school...he should be reconsidered

Right, but this thread is about the quarterbacks behind him. I agree with you on everything, but even if that's true, it's not much comfort having watched Brown play 5 games this season.grizfan95 said:JFC people. We legitimately could have had Cam, Knight, Ostmo, Sulser, Akem, and Toure playing for us on Friday had it not been for injuries or a transfer. That is 5 KEY starters at all the skill positions and we wonder why our offense struggled. We didn't lose a single game this year where Cam was our QB on the last snap. We were very good despite all the obstacles.
We beat Washington, Eastern, and the Cats. We had a shitty bracket draw, but still were moving the ball very well against JMU when we had Cam and Akem. Take a step back from the ledge.

We just had a great season, with loads of injuries to key players, and were required to start a young QB who should not have had that responsibility placed on his back. What is your obsession with slamming Brown, which you do every opportunity you get? He is a freshman for Christ's sake. Did Johnson and Berquist look as good as the starting senior QB on the team when they were freshman? We know you have a love-child for Humphrey, who has enough shortcomings of his own, and he is a senior. But your constant ragging on Brown gets old. Give the kid a break. He may or may not be the answer, but I don't think you, or anyone else knows that at this point. And do you think that you are helping the kid's confidence by your constant ragging on him? Many of these players read your comments.

OK, Brown’s Dad.
Yeah, I’m the ONLY one here who doesn’t think Brown was/is ready for prime time.
And stop saying he’s a f###[#] freshman. He’s a college JUNIOR. He’s 21 f###[#] years old. He’s been in the system for THREE YEARS. This ain’t his first rodeo, sorry. If after three full years in the SAME offensive system he wasn’t ready to step in and have us barely miss a beat then he just AIN’T. THE. GUY. Period. End of story. Nothing against the kid personally, but it happens literally at every position on the field. People get recruited, some pan out, some don’t. It’s not the end of the world, nor is it the end of the world for Kris Brown. He’ll survive, I’m certain of it, regardless of what my opinion is of his football abilities. And the ONLY thing that all has to do with Cam Humphrey is that he gave us a better chance to win. Doesn’t mean I’m in love with his football abilities, but based on the choices we had, he gave us the best chance. That’s all. It’s really not that complicated when you take (your) emotion out of it, Dad.

You are full of shit again. Brown is a red shirt freshman, and this is his second year in the system. Yes there are many Grizzly fans who do not think Kris is the answer as the starter next year. That is their opinion. But you take it to another level, never missing an opportunity to slam him. You make more posts on here than anyone, and your lack of football knowledge is exhibited routinely. You might think you are a positive influence on these kids who bust their ass every day on this team, but I assure you they don't appreciate the type of support you think you give.

I'm not ready to give up on him, but he needs a LOT of work.
