I suspect he makes decent reads, but by the time the ball would leave his hand the window is gone or he’s on his back. Like Kem mentioned, pretty tough to teach I would think, but who knows?
CDA, I'll try watching some of his games, when I get time. In the meantime, specifically what have you noticed? Is it a low long set up and wind up, slow motion, or combination of both, etc? I really haven't paid that close of attention. Either way, I know drills to easily take care of those issues. All it takes is chest high boxes and or pads, and 1000s of reps.
Sounds to me, off season work with a qb coach would do him wonders. We have that man locally, with Marty M. Is he too expensive, an issue with him, Hauck, the school, or what? Anyone that knows Marty well, please chime in. Why isn't he involved at this stage of his life and career? I love listening to him and Nuanez just bs. He seems like a pretty good dude.
Jordan Palmer is building a terrific reputation as well. I'm guessing, he's expensive though. I've heard of Jake Plummer working with qbs as well. Not sure, how true that is.
Who are some the other regional qb gurus?
KB has every physical tool needed. In my opinion what he needs to improve on most would be
1. Leadership/dog mentality. Guy doesn’t have that swagger yet.
2. Knowing where to move his blocking scheme and recognizing presnap defenses. He currently has no clue what he’s looking at.
3. See the throw and hit it. He’s unsure.
Those last two can be taught with reps. First one you either have it or you don’t.
