Imagine for minute, if years ago, you basically told a co-worker to go fu@k themself. And later you were interviewing for a job with them, as they were your potential new boss. How would that work out for you? Interesting situation.

Just curious. Karma is a bitch......

Also- - I expect all of those who don't get their "preferred" candidate to forfeit any future fund raising to the UM athletic department. With a letter of explanation.

For shit's sake folks. Let the process play out.

Who did that?

He didn't tell him to go f@ck himself, that is an exaggeration. He may have said some blunt and candid words related to a preliminary assessment of the contrariness of his genitals with regard to his claimed gender.

Gotta Admit. That is funny!! Nice job Havre. You are still a ball hog..... ;)

I pass if I think someone is better....now go rebound.

If this is truly the case (who the f*uck knows with all of you "insiders") we need to lock Hauck up tomorrow.

The difference between Hauck and Stitt is huge.

In Hauck, you get the proven coach who has taken us to (3) National Championships. I am sure that he has also become a better coach in Vegas over the past (4) years.

Stitt is completely unproven, and if he fails as a head coach over the course of the next (4) years, he would set our program back even farther. He is a complete crap shoot.

Lock up the sure thing in Bobby. We know he will get us back to the top of the Big Sky, and past the 2nd round of the playoffs, ASAP!

Well played!

Also, I think we need to cut Hauck some slack on his record at UNLV for his (4) years there. UNLV is one of the toughest places in the country to recruit to.

If you sent (PAC 12 Champion Head Coach Mark Helfrich) to WSU or Colorado right now, how many wins and Bowl games do you think he would have after (4) years? Not many I would suspect.

The fact the Bobby took UNLV to 1 bowl game in his (4) years there, is a feat in itself!

With Hauck you get a coach who maintains programs and is coming off a 15-48 record the last 5 years.

Technically speaking when playing in the BSC you only have to go 2-1 or 3-1 most years against the teams that are above .500. a program like Montana could go uncoached and win 7 games in a weak conference like the BSC. No Co, Sac St, ISU, SUU, ND, NAU and MSU are almost yearly gimmies.

I would bet he would win 3 or 4, that is waht good coaches do, they elevate programs the same way Helfrich did at Oregon, he improved what Kelly left there.

That's an interesting concept. Do you think UM would have won more games with JJ calling the plays this year rather than the OC? I'm honestly on the fence about it.

Wait; didn't we just do that?

Chip Kelly didn't leave the cupboards empty at Oregon when he left! Any of the coaches in the PAC 12 could have taken that team and done exactly what Helfrich has done (especially with a Heisman quarterback)!

Pease is a top national recruiter for a Tier 1 school. Fog eliminated his narrow window for a visit. Word was starting to get out and Petersen was concerned other schools would use it against them and put pressure on Brent. Pease wanted Haslam to fly out. Haslam wanted to do a phone interview. Pease didn't feel Kent was interested in him. BOR and Engtrom nixed Bobby. One candidate left. Look at the press conference video after Colorado Mines lost their play-off game and see if the guy hiding behind the baseball cap inspires your confidence.
If Haslam can't get the guy he wants approved, he should be looking for his next job himself.

Uhh... no. Half of the Pac12 coaches would have turned them into a steaming pile of hot garbage.

You are right. Hauck maintained the status quo when he took over. Keep in mind, the status quo was a championship caliber team every year, it was a team that won the Big Sky every year and it was a team that made the playoffs every year. I'm not sure how any coach could improve much upon that. Maintaining that status quo would be the goal of any AD and coach. With that said, over the last 4 years of Hauck's tenure he did, in fact, improve the program, increasing the winning percentage to 90% and earning two NC appearances. He lost just one conference game over his last 4 years. That's impressive. No one in their right mind would not want to get back to those years.

How many of Hauck's recruits are in the NFL? Intelligent high impact players that have had success at the next level are a HUGE incentive for recruits.
Success builds success. I hope whoever is next is able to do what he did, and as long as he did it. I like being spoiled with playoffs every year, and beating the kitties.

Except the Griz don't play Northern Colorado, Sac, ISU, SUU, ND, NAU and MSU every year in the new cluster fuck conference schedule. If I remember right the only team on your list of gimmes (which definitely has some non-gimme teams on it) that the Griz are guaranteed to play every year is MSU.

This just in from a very good friend from Colorado. He is telling me that Stitt will take us far beyond any football we have known. My friend played (started) four years at a major college. His daughter is married to a very successful college coach and is telling me that if we land Stitt we will have a fantastic football team for years to come! I am back on the Stitt wagon!
