f*** scotch! Bourbon is where its at! The End!

This. Pappy Van Winkle is a friend of mine.

I've never had it. Is it really worth the coin?

I certainly believe so but you know, everyone has different tastes. Maybe I just like it because it's expensive and its supposed to be good. No.....it's smooth. It really is.

Good info. Thanks! Signed/Hammer, what is your go to when it comes to bourbon? A lot of people at work like Bulleit for reasons foreign to me. I'm haven't been a bourbon guy in the past, but I get thirsty.

I don't drink it very much anymore but I always have a bottle of Neversweat in the house in case I feel like I need a snort. When I was younger it was Jack Daniels or Jim Beam.

Forgive me true whisky gods, for I have sinned..

Bulleit has good marketing, that is all..much rather simply drink Maker's Mark, bang for said buck..9/10 hard drinkers approve..

And, Hammer is correct. Neversweat is very nice. And from Butte.

Now for my penance..2 Glenmorangie rosaries..I shall be re-born!

Aberlour 12 year. Not the 18. It has no character.

Madge's pillow talk "You're soaking in it" was a unique motivator to "lather, rinse, repeat".

it's good stuff but no where near worth what they ask for for a bottle of the stuff. couple hundred bucks for the 10 year, 400 plus for 15 year, 8 something for the 20 year, and if you can ever get your hands on the 23, in montana it'll run over a grand. the 15yr is the best of the bunch in my opinion.

the headframe was in fact a pretty good whisky coming from montana. but they recently outsourced and the recipe changed. pretty dramatically if you ask me. i think they'll find that was the biggest mistake they ever made. although, they have their orphan girl cream that sells like crazy so they'll be ok. but leaving montana for their whisky was not wise, again, in my opinion.

Not a scotch fan but I have heard good things about Highland from those that are. Also not a green towel fan but I have heard good.....never mind.

Yeah, I thought that was a weird serving platform and background for a $90 bottle of scotch, but different strokes . . .

I thought the Ajax dish soap was a nice touch...however I'm a Dawn man

We know. Everyone can tell a Dawn man within a few posts. It's a fine dish soap, but I favor Palmolive--the hard stuff. For the record, I knew the very presence of soap of any kind meant this wasn't AG1's house.
This is why you get me, I don't need soap of any kind since my cleaning service takes care of that for me.

BTW the gal who owns that house is pissed at the critical comments about the cleanliness of her home. She said something about not having time to keep it spotless because she's a single mom. I wasn't really listening because I was playing video games with the horrible child she is raising.

25 year highland is their best, and it's closer to $360 around me. Alpha, if you haven't yet, make the pilgrimage to Orkney, home of HP and some fair golf. Well worth the $ for the adventure. For pure scotch value, nothing comes close to Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Solera in single malt. Wouldn't use bourbon for anything but to soak my feet.

I've tried em all and the best buy on the market is Tyrconnell at under $40.00 a bottle. It is a single malt Irish Uisce, (Gaelic for whiskey), with a smooth finish that rivals any scotch or bourbon costing 3-4 times as much.

I have to go shopping with the wife now, so I'm gonna need some miniature stress relief units. What's gonna be the best as far as pocket rockets go?

I'm thinking Jameson...

Also, I'm going to snag a bottle of this if I can find one today. Hard to say tho since the state-regulated shops are closed.

that highland is a good scotch. i was referring to the pappy van winkle that has reached cult status. it's good, but nothing close to the asking price.
