Glenlivet 12 year or Craggenmore. Truthfully though I've never had a bad pizza, piece of tail or a glass of
single malt Scotch.

Glenlivet is blended, I believe. Still pretty good, although I prefer Glenfiddich in the same price range.

I'm almost certain Glenlivet is a single malt Speyside. I'm not a huge fan of Speysides in general, but some are good. I really like Oban 14 (haven't had any older Oban, but I'm sure I'd like it). I guess Oban is a highland, but I'm not too sure.

Excellent selection. Aged in sherry casks - think EA Poe and the cask of Amantilado. Oban has an 18 yr old and a new 32 yr old I've not had the pleasure of sampling. Is a west highland, not sure of the distinction myself. Lovely spot on the ocean in the place of my ancestors. Or someone's ancestors, I pretty sure. Fore...

This is way beyond my PBR and Jack Daniels or Jim Beam drinking habits, LOL!

 The goal, however, remains unchanged. Years back, there was this piano bar in Santa Monica called Angel's that had a special of a tallboy PBR and a shot of Jim Beam for $3. Most everyone in the place drank only that. It was right across the 405 from where I lived at the time. I think they closed down. Can't imagine why.

Thanks for correcting me. I was probably thinking about Chivas or maybe it's tonight's Laphroaig talking.

Dude, I wasn't trying to correct you; I know next to nothing about scotch. Sorry if I came off as a dick. Laphroiag is some rough stuff from what I remember. Do you have the 10 in the green bottle? I don't mean "rough stuff" in a bad way . . .

No problem. I just thought for a moment that we had been married or that you were a friend of my current wife. Remember, one man's "rough" is another's "unique character". You didn't come off as a dick. I have an entire family waiting to point out my mistakes. Happy Holidays!

:thumb: Same to you!

I sample them all. I take the maximum price point I feel comfortable with. May splurge for an 18 year old next time, but that may have to wait until next Christmas.

I do buy J&B by the case, but that is only because Roy Clark required it to be comped in a concert deal, so I thought I would try it and I thought it was OK.
