New Turf x Montana Knife Company

He's making that up. I have seen noone say that. There's a thread on BN where everyone talks about being jealous of the partnership. Noone saying boycott.

Here’s the first post on BN under the thread titled Corporate partnerships.
“First of all, Noone buy Montana Knife company knives. They now have a partnership with the griz.”

Boycott: To abstain from or act together in abstaining from using, buying, dealing with, or participating in as an expression of protest.

Interesting that both you and lutecat the originator of the post on BN both misspelled no one as “noone”

I guess no one spells it right.... 😆

Should we? I mean, we could.

Let's get this thing going:

1. Griz o-line will take 2-steps backward this season. They have been terrible for over a decade.
2. Griz uniforms are stale and Wa Griz has lost its luster. At best - it's barely above average.
3. Player development will continue to be a weakness under this new guy - especially at QB.
4. Global heating has eliminated the cold from the "cold and loud" secret weapon. It's likely the Griz will never win a home playoff game again.
5. MT born players contribute very little to the healthy passion that surrounds the Brawl. Griz should just stop recruiting them.

6. UM just doesn't have any quality QB's.
7. There are no DB's again this year.
8. Gillman needs to rush for 1500 yards the year is a bust.
9. They would pack the stands if they offered beer in the stadium.
10. The student section is going to be empty now that Bodnar isn't there handing out pizza to students.
11. The team isn't running the VAUNTED 3-3-5 defense so you can expect UM's opponents to score at least 35 points a game.

More importantly, it appears that you are wrong in saying, “noone” has said to boycott the company. Kind of weird that you'd say fnz "made it up" with such confidence when a call for a boycott appeared right there in the first post of a thread on BN. I suppose it would make a lot of sense if you spent most of your time on eGriz rather than BN.

Moving on, is "noone" one of those words/phrases in the Bobfan vernacular like, "I seen" and calling all ground beef "hamburger meat"?

Wayne Hogan would love this. The man brought branding to the University of Montana like no one could have imagined.
It's a little too NASCAR for me. I would feel the same if it were Coca-Cola or Penzoil. At least it isn't UDAP Bear Spray.

I know it needs to be done and probably settle, but seems odd that you bring in brand new turf and the first big events you hold is covering it up and mashing it down with flooring and packing it for stadium concerts. Maybe the company couldn’t have done it in August???
Hopefully they place a cover or something over the field to prevent any damage. I was thinking the same thing.

Sure does bring a lot of product performance, maintenance questions etc. We ask a whole lot out of the turf technology given full exposure to year round weather extremes alone, throw in the amount of incursion from events one and all. Ok now, how about a dome? Does the city/county/region need an alternative site for large scale multi-events?

During one episode of the GFP, the guys interviewed someone from the facilities department who discussed all the logistics of preparing for one of those large concerts, but I don't remember them talking about how they protect the turf. One would assume that they have a plan in place to protect the turf normally, but it would also seem imperative to do so on a newly installed surface. I would think someone would pipe up who knows more about this subject.

There is a plastic panel floor that connects and protects it, but given the expense, why not save it a little stress before the inaugural game?
