we shall see troll. At 70 something yrs old he could still kick your ass and embarrass you on the golf course. But then again I don't think either would be too tough. :finger:

Well, please. It's 25.06. The bar's not real high. Shit, this guy could do both of those things:

too much hand eye coordination for you? were you good at any sport or just good at running your mouth?

Like probably 99.9% of Griz fans I hope the NCAA ruling/decision is issued SOON so we can lay to rest this diarrhea of the key stroke thread once and for all

bill speltz tweeted that delaney is saying the n.c.a.a. will submit report by the opening day of camp on aug. 4.

When will UM's athletic department learn that even talking about the NCAA case in public is foolish? Who is advising them at this point. I assume there is some law firm specializing in NCAA bylaws who UM is paying for at this point, right?

Nw, can I ask you an honest question, no smack, no BS. Why do you care so deeply? And please come up with something more original than "I'm a Montanan and the Griz have embarrased the entire state". BY FAR the lamest thing ever posted. I know there are thousands and thousands of Montanan's who couldn't give two dumps about the Griz or Cats.

Na, just never got the bug, besides I would rather go through the archery range than spend time chasing a little white ball, dogs chase balls don't they?

Because I went to UM, and have a lot of people I know still at UM. I'm guessing I've been to more Griz games over the years than many posters on this board.

I never posted "I'm a Montanan and the Griz have embarrassed the entire state", by the way. Not sure where that is coming from, but it wasn't me.

OK. thanks for the honest answer and no stupid smack reply. I didn't say you said the line, i was generalizing, and BTW, it's been posted on BN many, many times. I'll take you at your word on the amount of Griz games you attend each year, though I'm guessin if you attend more than MOST posters on here, you don't attend many Cat games per year then.

When will you learn that no one in the athletic dept is talking? When will you learn who UM hired as it's ncaa legal counsel?

It looks like you've finally realized, after 2 months, that some people actually know, generally, what the ncaa matter is about, even if you don't.

It never ceases to amaze me how make people think that no one knows what's going about anything, if they don't know what's going on. Why don't people understand and admit that lots of people may know what's going on, even if they don't know what's going on?

It seems that the NCAA has not issued its final results so UM is waiting for the report. All indications are it should be soon. When the report becomes final and issued, from what I understand it WILL be made public for everyone to read. There seems to be issues that are 'unique' to all involved and with NCAA having its own problems the process bogged down. What we do know is the football team is working hard and has as good a chance as any to win the conference and the athletic dept is healthy and has not engaged in serious wrong doing. I believe Haslam said we will be the better for it all. I have no reason not to believe him. So until then..............Go Griz!!!!!!!

I don't know the time frame here, but ordinarily, the NCAA will issue a preliminary, confidential, report for the institution to respond to. It has nothing about sanctions, just getting an agreement on the facts and making sure that the facts are the facts. Then the NCAA will issue its "final" report based on whatever comes out of that preliminary review which contains no sanctions, but asks the institution to propose them instead: it is an interesting approach of asking the condemned whether he would enjoy a hanging or a firing squad instead, "your choice!" Except that the NCAA may or may not accept the suggestion and impose drowning instead. The NCAA's approach to penalties and its manner of imposing them in college football would likely offend the Geneva Convention.

So, the "institution" gets a couple of looks at the "report," in progress, without knowing really where the NCAA might be headed, since the NCAA isn't at that point in the process itself. I "understand" without any insider knowledge whatsoever, that the "process" is being finalized, and so there has been some readings of the investigation report, but no knowledge of what the final outcome may be.

The important thing. Short term, I don't care what we give up, I'm patient and can wait out any recovery.

As long as it doesn't include a playoff ban this year.

From an outsiders perspective, I think it's kind of ridiculous that this investigation has been going on for over a year and a half with no resolution yet. For that reason alone I think whatever sanctions, if any, the NCAA doles out isn't going to be near as damaging as the second and third order effects that the invetigation itself has caused. If they cite lack of institutional control, my guess is loss of a couple scholarships and maybe a post-season ban. Probably not a whole lot more than that.
