Meet the 2012 Big Sky Champs: Sam Houston St.

You're right bigsky, it is the final score that counts, not stats. So quit telling us how the cats played them tough based on stats. The fact is that the Griz, eags and poly all played Sammy tough and each damn near beat them, on the scoreboard. The cats are the only big sky team that got their asses kicked, and they did it twice no less! The cats need to stop rolling over and playing dead during the playoffs. It's embarrassing to the rest of the conference.
You want to know what's embarrassing? Where do I start? First a um running back is guilty of rape. Two more um players are arrested and tased by the police. A former um qb is going on trial for running drugs. Another qb raped a girl (allegedly) and is going on trial. Um administration tips off a Saudi student who raped someone so he had enough time to skip the country before being arrested. During the season, a starting line gets arrested for buying date rape drugs. Need I continue?

Actually I haven't seen one Grizzly player accusing the Cats of embarrasing the conference. You said team. Fans are not part of the team.

msuhunter, yup, can't argue, ALOT of that is mighty embarrassing. Enough BS has happened to the Griz that you shouldn't need to lie to talk trash. FIRST, as far as i know Jason Washington isn't going on trial. Second, Trevor Poole didn't buy a date rape drug. X is not rufies. Not even close, and it's a pretty common fact to those of us who care about the safety of kids and the human race, that females 16-21 ARE TWICE as likley to try and use X than males in their same age group according to a study by the national health dept. So you trying to accuse Trevor Poole of buying a pill with the assertion that he was going to rape somebody makes you just about the dumbest mfer on this board. Like I said, plenty for Griz fans to be embarrassed about, enough so that you and you boy Papa G need not lie to pile on..

EDIT: I stand corrected, JW does have a trial date for this month. had to go to the fifth page of google to find out. I apologize to MSUHUNTER, and bow to him for knowing more about ex-Griz players who started four games 5 years ago than i do. lol...

Stay classy MSUHUNTER, stay classy!

It's the final score that counts. They all LOST to SHSU. If you look at the stats in the Cat game they probably did the best against SHSU. They got hurt on a few big plays. The bottom line is all three Big
Sky teams got beat. Close only counts in horse shoes!
The same for the cats against EWU dominating the stats doesn't mean shit if you can't win the game!

The only embarassment to the Big Sky this year is the Griz football program! They lost on the field and off the field!

Yes because the pain and suffering that the rape victims go through doesn't matter ....

This meme I made over a year ago STILL works.

I guess by their standards Montana is not trying hard enough.....

The only place where anyone would consider the Cats as an embarassment is right here on this board. An 11-2 season, beating the Griz, co Big Sky champs and going to the qtr. finals is in NO WAY embarassing. You Griz fans would have been thrilled to have a season like the Cats. You people that post otherwise make yourselves look stupid! Just say'in!

The embarassment in the Big Sky is located in Missoula! A losing season and making headlines for all the wrong reasons!

This thread has DERAILED...Back on topic, Sam Houston State is a BETTER football team than Cal Poly, Montana State, Eastern Washington, and the Griz dating back to last year's semifinals. And no, losing 34-16 is not some how playing the Bearkats "tougher" than Cal Poly losing 18-16...Sorry.

While I grudgingly admit that saying the cats were an embarrasment is ridiculous, go back to your own damn board.

And while you're there, take a quick gander at the number of bcn posters who mocked the GRIZ each and every year after defeats in the national championship, national semis, whatever, all of which far exceeded the cats' finish. Believe me, much more of it took place there on an annual basis than has here (which still doesn't excuse the fact that it's still ridiculous here).

I don't think there is a great difference in the number of people on each board that make rediculous posts. It's usually the same people over and over!

Meh, maybe.

Perhaps it's just that it happens once every 20 years for cat fans and 19 out of 20 for Griz fans.

It's been three straight years for the Cats in the playoffs and as Big Sky champs and two out of three years beating the Griz. Yes your past streak was tremendous but it is over and the Big Sky is much stronger now. I don't think we will see dominance by any one team now and in the future.

The Cats have been to the playoffs three straight years, and have the same amount of playoff wins as the Griz do in that same time frame. The Griz have missed the playoffs twice in that stretch and have won as many games as the Cats in the playoffs, and have been a round further with only one chance to do so....

And the logic of the Cats beating the Griz in Missoula two times meaning the rivalry has turned, I don't really get considering the Griz haven't lost in Bozeman since 2005.
