The national radio announcers on the Westwood One Network repeatedly talked about the officiating and how UNC -- and in particular -- Beitzel was getting all the calls and the Griz were not getting the same calls. I mean, when independent NATIONAL commentators talk about it, you know it's obvious.

I don't usually complain about the officiating, being an ex-NCAA official myself. But, some of the calls in the last 5 minutes of the game were abysmal, and definitely dictated the outcome of the game. The 5th foul on Cherry was a joke. But the worst was the obvious charge against NCU at the 13-second mark, which they called a block against the Griz. Simply an awful call!

well now I see how they went undefeated at home. For the first time ever, I WILL NOT be cheering for the Big Sky Conf Champ. What a bunch of bullshit!

Let them have their moment in the sun, they're an afterthought next season. It's all Weber and Griz baby.
That being said, you guys did get jobbed a little. Cherry's last foul was a joke, and Beitzel did charge into that Griz player late in the game.
But, with the homecourt comes the advantages. Sad to say our Wildcats couldn't capitalize the past two years.
Good luck in whatever tourney you guys get invited to, you guys should make some noise in the NIT/CBI/CIT

You're not going to win playing against 8 players. I don't really know why the BSC favors unc, but it's obvious they do. It was obvious in last night's game, and it was obvious today.
That said, the Griz had their opportunities to win and didn't come through. You can't go 7 minutes without scoring, espeically at a time when UNC was as tight as coffin. There is no doubt that unc's nerves were costing them the game and they were handing the Griz a gift, but the Griz simply didn't take it from them.
Disappointing.

I never said anything about it being a well officiated game, but I did not expect anything different than what actually happened. No reason the bitch about, because it will change nothing and BSC officials will be just as horrible next year.
